Last time it was boobs and puppies high up in the Alps. This time, it's chiseled Swiss men in valleys and ports. Some have their shirts off, some are milking cows, and we're pretty sure that one is licking his finger. It's not the most subtle travel ad that we've ever seen, but we strongly suspect that subtly wasn't what the Swiss Tourism Board was going for.

The ad is part of a Swiss campaign to attract women to the land of chocolates while their own countries' men are lost in a World Cup-induced haze, mixed equal parts adrenaline and alcohol (probably more the latter than the former). We keep meaning to post this winter-themed ad from Switzerland's MySwitzerland tourism board, but pesky things like airline mishaps, terrorist attacks, and the US governments' overreactions to each were getting in the way. Luckily our planet is currently in the midst of a mind-numbing cold spell, so this the video is still eminently topical.

There are lots of neat things going on in the ad, from the straightforward emphasis on the destination—something that you'd think would be universal in travel advertising but isn't—to the "Get Natural" tagline at the very end. The motto builds on the rest of the video, which pokes a bit of fun at tourists who expect alpine lodges to have this mysterious aura of rustic authenticity.

Where in the world will Brad Pitt turn up today? That is the burning question on the minds of envious travelers like us this morning.

On Monday, Brad was spotted at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington D.C. where Angie is currently filming the thriller Salt. DAR Constitution Hall has welcomed performers ranging from Aerosmith to Duke Ellington over the course of its 80 year history. You can check out their schedule for information about upcoming events.

Yesterday, Brad took a rare solo trip to check out the international art show Art 40 Basel, in Basel, Switzerland. At the exhibit, he seemed particularly interested in a 24k gold Piece entitled End of Knowledge.

Art 40 Basel is taking place through June 14th. Considered the world’s premier international art show for modern and contemporary works, “Art Basel features nearly 300 leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.” Artists represented at the show include both the great masters of modern art and upcoming artists who are creating some of today’s most innovative paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs and installations. Danger! Swiss Cows approaching! After a turbulent summer, apparently filled with hiker/cow violence, the Swiss Hiking Federation posted new rules warning hikers to keep their distance from the bovines. New farming techniques, which tend to isolate the cows from human interaction more than ever before, have led to problems.
According to the Federation, here's what to do if you see a cow while hiking the Alpine byways:

Leave the animals in peace and do not touch them. Never caress a calf. Do not scare the animals or look them directly in the eye. Do not wave sticks. Give a precise blow to the muzzle of the cow in the event of absolute need.
