Memorial Day isn't just the kick off of summer; it's also the official start of the celebrity vacation season, and so far, it looks like it's going to be a busy one. Love birds Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez didn't waste anytime enjoying the long weekend in Maui, where they were spotted sharing some PDA during their Hawaiian vacation on Friday.

Meanwhile, plenty of celebs spent the weekend on European vacations too. Katie Holmes made the best of the unpredictable Canadian weather over the weekend.

Katie, who has spent most of the summer in Toronto playing Jackie Kennedy in the upcoming mini-series The Kennedy's, took Suri and her big sister Isabella out for some (soggy) family fun on Saturday.

The little girls in those new GAP commercials got nothin' on Suri Cruise. The pint-size fashionista was spotted in Sevilla, Spain yesterday in a traditional Spanish flamenco dress, white hoop earrings and red polka dot heels. Suri and her mom, Katie Holmes, flew overseas to spend the weekend with her dad, Tom Cruise. The family spent some quality time in a local park where Suri snacked on a candy bar before getting a lift from dad back to their hotel.

Tom has been in Seville for a couple of weeks now filming scenes with Cameron Diaz for “Knight and Day". Last week, the pair filmed a scene featuring a motorcycle ride through a herd of running bulls while several gun-toting bad guys chased them. Theatre snobs who had doubts about Holmes' chops when she signed on to the Arthur Miller adaptation must have been disappointment when the producers announced Monday they had recouped their initial investment in the show. A hit! A palpable hit! That puts "All My Sons," financially speaking, ahead of other celeb vehicles like "Speed-the-Plow" (Jeremy Piven, Elisabeth Moss from "Mad Men") or "Equus" (Daniel Radcliffe) and blockbusters like "Young Frankenstein," which recently posted its closing notice. Not to mention shows whose planned Broadway debuts were canceled due to the recession like "Godspell" and "Brigadoon."

The other show that just announced it made bank, "The Seagull," also had star power on its side -- although the tabloid-scarce Kristin Scott Thomas and Peter Sarsgaard. Like "All My Sons," its limited run ends in January, which means Broadway may be asking for a bailout from its New York audience members when the year of the "naycation" takes hold. Our advice: Cast Nick Spangler, "Amazing Race" co-winner and current Off-Broadway actor, in your show. Can't lose.

Remember Knut, the adorable polar bear who captured our hearts as a cub and appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair with Leonardo DiCaprio before he got too big to be cute? Get ready for "Happy Knut", the movie! The creators of the live-action "Garfield" are pursuing the rights to Knut's story, with an eye towards having celebrity baby star Suri Cruise--spawn of TomKat--voice the cub Knut.

Suri has already visited Knut while Dad has been in Germany filming "Valkyrie," his WWII biopic about a Nazi renegade. Hey, we've seen "Happy Feet," and this sounds like a lot more fun (and adorable). If and when the film gets made, you can bet we'll have all the movie set travel details.
