Dust off your Converse: Austin's edgy South by Southwest is practically here. The festival kicks off March 13 with SXSWinteractive and the film program, with the better known music fest to follow beginning March 18.

'80s legends Devo will perform Friday, March 20 as well as speaking on Saturday on "The Truth About De-Evolution." Some other picks from the hundreds of bands heading to the weird city include indie darlings Peter Bjorn and John and the Raveonettes, one-hit wonders The Proclaimers and local boys Explosions in the Sky.

The film program includes the premieres of the Seth Rogen-Anna Faris security comedy "Observe and Report" and the Paul Rudd-Jason Segel bromantic comedy "I Love You, Man," as well as "Alexander the Last," the latest movie by mumblecore director Joe Swanberg.

The Sundance of the Southwest is just over two weeks away, and it's time to get your plans finalized for SXSW. Registration, while pricey, is still available, and you can get a pass to see all the music stuff until Monday, March 10. (It'll "only" cost you $650!)
