New Orleans: Thug Disillusionment: Snoop Dogg Ruins NBA All-Star Party

There was so much drama in the MSY this weekend when Snoop Dogg ditched a planned appearance at a bar during All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. NOLA bar The Boot had sold hundreds of tickets to an afterparty featuring an appearance by the rapper, but neither the Doggfather nor his entourage ever made it to the party they were supposedly hosting.
The Boot was forced to send out the world's saddest mass e-mail to its cheated patrons on Monday, promising a 50-cent drink night soon.
Snoop, you owe the whole crowd some gin and juice. Or at least a keytar serenade.
Related Stories:
· Snoop Dogg and Airports, Now You Know You're In Trouble [Jaunted]
· Spot Snoop Dogg Out on the Lawns [Jaunted]
· Celeb Travel coverage [Jaunted]

And you thought the Snoop Dogg arrests were over. Hardly. Super world traveler-in-training Calvin Broadus was arrested in Sweden earlier today (or late Sunday night, depending on how you look at it) on suspicion of being high. Just having a little weed in your system is illegal in Sweden. Snoop was leaving the Globe Arena (side note: would that thing not make the most outrageous bong?) when his car was stopped, and he ended up in the slammer for a few hours before being released--drug test results are pending. If--shock, horror--Snoop is found to have had drugs in his system, he'll have to pay a fine. If you want to visit the scene of the crime, the Globe Arena is removed from downtown, but quite accessible thanks to its own subway stop on the green line.

Related Stories:
· Snoop Dogg Held Overnight in Sweden [LAT]

When they searched his car, they discovered marijuana and a gun. Snoop was arrested on illegal drug and gun possession, then released on $35,000 bail.
We have to admire Snoop's courage and fearlessness in these uncertain TSA times.
Los Angeles: Snoop Dogg Packing Heat at Orange County Airport

Some might think when they see laptop cases in airports that there are actually laptops in them. If you're Snoop Dogg, a laptop computer is the last thing he'd actually put in there. Cops apparently busted Snoop for toting a 21" collapsible baton weapon in his bag, as he waltzed through an x-ray machine at John Wayne Airport in Orange County. Yes, these are the same batons U.S. Navy Seals are issued to carry around and beat the crap out of enemies with.
Snoop was detained by the O.C. Sheriff's Dept., his weapon was confiscated, and criminal charges could be a possibility. Did he just forget it was in there? Like when you forget something in your bag from your last trip? Or was he planning on kicking ass and taking names on the way to the Admiral's Club? We'll never know...
In the meantime, he should take lessons from Paris Hilton who supposedly used to stash weed in her teddy bears on overseas trips.
Related Stories:
· Did Snoop Sneak a Weapon into O.C.
