FL: Even Febreze Can’t Lessen The Dead Fish Stink In The Everglades

It was pretty cold across much of the country earlier this month, and areas in Florida were seeing temperatures that were truly unusual. Besides the risk to our beloved orange juice supply, wildlife also didn’t do too well in the abnormal temperatures. The recent cold snap actually caused a fish kill in some areas of the state, and the underwater population was especially hard hit in Everglades National Park.
You could consider this just part of the circle of life, but the dead fishing are washing up on shore and causing a smelly situation for campers looking to enjoy the great outdoors. The Flamingo Campground at the park with sites along the water’s edge has become particularly odoriferous. The Long Pine Key Campground might be a better option for the time being.

Smells, Speedos, And Sweat Banned At Theme Parks Across The Pond

The rules at British theme parks are starting to get pretty stern. No longer can you assume that it’s fine to just wake up and head out to ride roller coasters without ensuring you are neatly and freshly groomed, especially now that Rihanna might be your seatmate. Officials want to make sure everyone is comfortable, so they are cracking down on the less enjoyable aspects of the amusement park experience.
At Thorpe Park signs are going up to remind visitors to keep their arms down on the rides. In case people don’t quite grasp what they are referencing, the text of the signs makes it pretty clear—“Say No To BO.” Temperatures have been warm lately and they just don’t want smelly pits to make the park’s roller coasters unpleasant. This is no joke either; those who don’t follow the new smell prevention mandate will be escorted from the park.

Minneapolis: Say It, Don't Spray It: Axe Body Spray Not Welcome in Minneapolis

Heading to Minneapolis anytime soon? Leave your Axe body spray at home; it's not like the flight attendants have fallen into your lap yet, anyways. You see, Minnesota isn't too happy that Axe's hyper-sexual advertising campaigns have been working so well, causing kids to drench themselves in the potent scents and offend sensitive nostrils.
Apparently the overuse of Axe is so widespread in the City of Minneapolis School District, that they've called for a ban on the stuff.
You'd think that with all this hubbub, flying into Minneapolis airspace would involve descending through a fog layer of aerosol Axe spray, but instead it's simply a case of teachers trying to encourage teenage boys to shower more often. Says StyleList: "One concern prompting suburbia to sound the alarms is the idea that Axe Body Spray is somehow enabling teens to adopt poor hygiene habits."
