Ok, we're using the word "celebrity" loosely here when talking about Samantha Ronson but the DJ is often in the headlines thanks to her famous-for-being-a-wreck girlfriend, Lindsay Lohan. Still, despite what some folks think, Samantha is a rather in-demand DJ, always jetting off here and there to spin at some party, club or private event.

Last week, her work took her to Dallas where she played a party at the W Dallas. It should have been a quickie in and out but thanks to airport delays, her United flight got grounded. And apparently, even dating Lindsay Lohan will not get you special treatment when rescheduling your flight. Samantha tweeted:

yeah it really sucks- they told me they could get me there tomorrow- hmmm- f*ck you very much UNITED.

She then went on to tweet that she prefers American over United and that she learned her lesson a long time ago about checking musical instruments as an Italian airline once lost her guitar. Oh, if only she made a clever YouTube video about it she could have been reimbursed!

The annual tradition of the celeb-hosted New Year’s Eve party is upon us again, and this year Vegas, already hurting, is getting the some of the weakest wattage possible. You'd do much better to hit up Miami where Lindsay Lohan and girlfriend Samantha Ronson are hosting a party at Mansion. Kristin Cavallari (!), Kellan Lutz and Robert Iler will all be at Shore Club’s Skybar. Chloë Sevigny is heading to the Gansevoort Hotel in South Beach, where T.I. will perform. Diddy will be ringing in the new year at LIV nightclub inside the Fontainebleau Resort while Molly Sims handles the festivities inside Blade, also at Fontainebleau. And rounding out the South Beach celebrations, AnnaLynne McCord is hosting at B.E.D.

In NYC, Mario Lopez is hosting the party at Marquee, and in LA Travis Barker and DJ AM will be performing together at The Lot for the first time since they were injured in September's plane crash.

Meanwhile, the best Sin City has to offer is Denise Richards at Prive in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino and The Kardashians at LAX. Vegas couldn’t even hold onto the Hilton sisters who are usually a NYE staple on the Strip. Instead, this year they're set to host the Bongo Virus Party in Sydney.

What is that strange face Lindsay Lohan is making at LAX? It's like she's... smiling. Weird. Maybe Samantha Ronson has something to do with that.

Maybe she's happy because her stalker just got arrested. Ronson was playing at the Jackrabbit Supper Club and Lounge in Scottsdale for a private event when police arrested a middle-age man who had been lurking around the venue. Hey, at least on the plane they have marshals for that kind of thing.

Don't mess with Samantha Ronson! Granted, her mean face is probably directed toward the nasty paparazzi instead of fellow passengers on her flight that touched down at LAX Saturday, but that duffel is not small--and forget putting a Vuitton under the seat in front of you!

Or, as the tabloids allege, she's feuding with fellow passenger and girlfriend Lindsay Lohan. Maybe one of them was looking for love on an airplane! Gadling's always entertaining flight attendant columnist Heather Poole met her husband on a plane, but we don't recommend looking for your next beau when your current one is on the same trip.

And, while we congratulate Heather and her husband, we'd just as soon be left alone en route... how about you?

In times like these we all need a hero: Jada Pinkett Smith goes with a classic--Supergirl!--at a Hollywood Halloween party earlier this week, while her daughter donned some kind of fancy witch costume. (Witches: Also a classic!)

In case you were planning to dress as Lindsay Lohan this year (and we know people who were), be aware: She's going as the biggest gag choice this year, the "Borat" of 2008, Sarah Palin. Her friends say she even got maybe-girlfriend Samantha Ronson to go as First Dude Todd Palin, which makes it slightly cute instead of dreadfully unoriginal. But it could be funny to envision a costume in which the Lohan-ness of Lohan just leaks out from under the Valentino suit and $500 shoes.

How hot is Amtrak these days? Even possibly dating starlets are taking the train: Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were seen riding the Acela on October 16.

But even without TSA hassles and flight delays, Page Six says the pair didn't have a pleasant trip:

Lohan spent most of the time complaining about her staff and told Ronson, "I do what's good for you, not what's best for both of us." Lohan was "whining incessantly and Samantha was trying to deflect it. When Lindsay would get up, Samantha would sigh and put her sweatshirt hood back up."

Sounds like Sam should've booked seats in the quiet car!

Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan go for a walk along a Los Cabos, Mexico beach. Time to switch to a private resort, girls--you're too famous!

They weren't the only ones who hit Mexico this week for a little sun and fun. Jennifer Aniston was also in Los Cabos by herself, no doubt taking a break before the nonstop publicity around her holiday release "Marley and Me" (costarring Owen Wilson).

So which do you like better: A solo trip where you do whatever you like, or an intimate vacation with a loved one?
