Moscow: Moscow Airport's New Sleepbox: Better than 'Two Luggages on the Floor with a Hoodie Draped Over'

We're not going to say that sleeping in airports is uncomfortable. Everyone already knows that. We're here today to slam down the Bible, thumb our fist on the pulpit and do declare that there is a better way! There is hope for airport nappers! This hope is the Sleepbox and after spending several years as a popular concept and focus of design blogs, the Sleepbox has actually materialized as a physical, money-generating thing.
Just this week the first Sleepbox made its debut at Moscow-Sheremetyevo Airport and the international interest has been immediate. In all fairness, anything beating two luggages on the floor with a hoodie draped over them is a huge improvement. So now Sleepbox is accepting its first guests, offering rentals of 30 minutes to several hours while providing free WiFi, bunk beds, a folding desk, an LCD TV and "ventilation." Don't expect an ensuite bathroom, but do note that the bed sheets are automatically self-changing and there is luggage storage.
Want a bathroom? It's off to the Yotel with you.

It's Okay; The Russians are Stranded at Their Airports Too

We're not alone in our weather delay misery this week! Yay? Now that Northern Europe and the UK are mostly shoveled clear for air travel to resume somewhat normal levels, the US East Coast falls to Mother Nature, as does Russia. According to RIA Novosti it's freezing rain causing the problem, however, and although the airports aren't completely shut-down, they're operating slower than a Zaporozhets and causing dangerous levels of frustration:

Moscow: You Don't Know How Lucky You Are With Free Internet

The reviews of Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport have to be some of the most dismal we've ever seen on the Internets. Having never been there, we hesitate to believe that "everything on the airport is a rip-off" in "The Airport That Time Forgot". Hope springs eternal?
There is one silver lining to traveling through Sheremetyevo, and it's not the opportunity to pronounce its name for your friends in a drinking game: WiFi access is free in pretty much all areas of the airport. So at least you'll be able to complain about the lack of seats, the ill-defined smoking areas and the long line at passport control to someone who cares.
Got an International Airport WiFi tip for us? Send it forth!. And you can always whine to us on Twitter, wherever you are.
Related Stories:
· Airport Connections: Improving at Moscow's Sheremetyevo [Jaunted]
· Room with an Anti-View: Novotel Moscow Airport is Forgettable [HC]
· Airport WiFi Map [Jaunted]
