Venice: Hugo Chavez and Paris Hilton Take Venice Film Fest By Storm

The big news at the 66th Annual Venice Film Festival—aside from George Clooney introducing his latest girlfriend to the world—has to do, as always, with movie debuts that tend to get film buffs riled up in their plush, reclining chairs. This year's festival drew names including Oliver Stone, Matt Damon, Michael Moore, and—oh, god—Paris Hilton to the celebration of international film.

Stone had one of the more memorable red carpet moments of the festival when he walked buddy-buddy style with Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez to the premiere of South of the Border, his film about the leader and stereotypes associated with him. As The Telegraph UK reports, the two were surrounded by a swarm of 50 bodyguards. Necessary, sure, but also in keeping with Stone's penchant for controversy.

Picture this: You sit down in your Air Pacific business class seat on your flight from New Zealand to Fiji. You open up your in-flight magazine and a boarding pass falls out. But not just any boarding pass: this one belonged to Paris Hilton, who was sitting in your very seat not too long ago.

This is exactly what happened for a Kiwi named Phil, who took home the unexpected bookmark, verified that it was legitimate, and then put it up for auction on New Zealand auction site Trade Me, with the description "This is a bit weird, but someone may want it". Much to his surprise—being self-confessed ignorant about quite how famous Paris Hilton is—the boarding pass started getting a heap of bids, at which point Phil decided to donate the proceeds of the sale to charity.

Paris Hilton is back to work on her BFF show in Dubai after taking a break to dump her boyfriend and dance on tables. She’s already raised controversy after reports surfaced that she had gotten in a rift with local authorities for wearing a bikini, but Paris was quick to take to Twitter saying, “One of my friends just called me from back home and asked if I got in trouble for wearing a bikini at the beach here and once again – FALSE”.

Even though she hasn’t gotten arrested yet, she has been keeping herself busy while filming abroad. So far she's met a huge guy, rode a “cute” camel, gone skiing, and tonight she’s hosting a party at Club Neo.

Louisville: Paris Hilton Does Kentucky

The Kentucky Derby may not be a huge draw for average joes this year, but it's still reeling in A-listers.

Well, at least the Derby-eve party on Friday night is. The notorious Barnstable Brown bash is hosted by Louisville's locally-famous socialite twin sisters Priscilla Barnstable and Tricia Barnstable Brown, in their opulent mansion in the tony Bonnycastle neighborhood. The 21-year-old fiesta has made enough of a mark on the socialite set that it even draws celebs who don't bother to stick around for the race.

In addition to Hilton, Tom Brady, Brooke Shields, and Kid Rock will be among the boldface names at the twins' house. For the first time this year, the bash will be followed by an after-party at the Sports and Social Club, a brand new downtown club, so there could be a chance to get in some late-night celeb-sightings.

It seems as if the work is never done for our favorite celebs -- and the commute can be nasty: From Hawaii to Australia, even they have to go where the work is. Still, we wish our day job consisted of such travel perks like the ones these celebs get to experience.

Tween sensations Zac Efron and Taylor Swift hit up the red carpet in Syndey while the more mature TomKat hit up Tokyo at a premiere for "Valkyrie." Matt Damon was cycling in Cape Town and Jessica Alba checked out the fashions in Paris. Ah yes, and speaking of Paris...Paris Hilton was shooting a perfume ad in Hawaii.

Tokyo: "The Hills" Season Five Preview: Doug Dares To Date After LC

At least one person is taking full advantage of "The Hills"' break between seasons: Doug Reinhardt, former dater of LC and Stephanie, traded up over Super Bowl weekend from Amanda Bynes to Paris Hilton, who took him in first class on United Airlines on a "business" trip to Japan. Who needs "Bromance" when you have romance -- or a facsimile thereof?

Perhaps because he decided to help Ms. Hilton cast the inevitable MTV-Japan "My Japanese Best Friend Slash Stefaniesque Accessory," Doug shows up nowhere in the just-released trailer for "The Hills"' fifth and potentially final season. (Nor does much of LC and Lo's house, which TMZ discovered can now be rented for a paltry $11,000 per month. What recession, indeed?) But we do get LC and Heidi crying together and Spencer talking to a shady lady. Try as we might, we just can't love "The City" this much.

With or without the burrito heir, "The Hills" returns March 24. If Paris herself makes an appearance, will the reality-TV world fall in on itself? Tune in to find out!
