As a site that tracks the best in-flight cocktails on a monthly basis, we like to think that our credibility on booze travel is pretty good. Whether it's awesome sandwiches or the latest frozen food fad we're all over airport dining, so we just had to pass along a few updates about the new eats options that are coming to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport in the future. The best part of the new options is that it's just not Sbarro and Starbucks, as some local options are sneaking through the security line; however, no need to worry, as there will still be a Starbucks too.

Last week airport officials did their thing to grant approval to a bunch of new spots for the airport's Terminal 4, and everything should arrive both before and after the TSA checkpoint by sometime between now and 2013. There will be some Phoenix specific pizza from La Grande Orange, and Cowboy Ciao from over in Scottsdale will also be making an appearance in the airport. When you go holiday shopping, it's a drag to have to turn down the services of the fantastic wrappers at the store. You decline because when you lug those perfectly wrapped presents to the airport, the TSA will just tear it to shreds. Here's an incentive to bring your gifts sans festive paper and bows: A number of airports will wrap them for free once you clear security. It doesn't make up for the full-body scanning, but it's a start.

We love visiting airports around the globe, but it’s rare that we truly feel appreciated and loved by the airports back. Well Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is looking to change that, as today is the airport’s second annual Customer Appreciation Day. That’s right—the airport is glad you are visiting the area or just passing through on your way to another destination.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the airport has the authority to hand out free flights; however, they do have some stuff that might just make you feel warm and fuzzy all over. Free candy and popcorn are just some of the freebies that airport personnel will be passing out within the terminals. Jet-setting pups just got some good news, and this time we don't mean Pet Airways. Dog parks are being set up at airports all over the country. A new mandate by the Department of Transportation requires airlines to set up relief areas for Seeing Eye Dogs and other service animals. Since the mandate went into effect last year, airlines have been working to either add or upgrade dog parks at airports across the U.S.

One such airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport recently opened a 1,000-square-foot dog park on the south end of the ground transportation center. There are baggage thieves, like these petty fellows, and then there are compulsive baggage thieves, like the couple who were just caught after having stolen 1,000+ checked bags from the carousels at Phoenix's Sky Harbor Airport.

Keith King and Stacy Legg-King lived in squalor amongst towers of stolen luggage strewn about their suburban home, the ill-gotten goods pinched by Keith straight from the baggage claims of arriving flights. He was spotted three weeks ago when an airport officer noticed King parking at the airport, taking a bag from the carousel, and then putting it in his car and leaving. After this incident, the police put surveillance on him and caught him in the act again this past Monday.
