Now that the Academy Awards are over and the celebrities have fled to their vacation homes to bask in the glory of a owning a statuette or wallow in self-pity for losing, we can talk about what everybody at the Oscars got regardless: the swag bag. The answer to that is YES, and in only the first item! Natalie Portman, et al., were handed a chance to go to space with Virgin Galactic along with a scale model of the craft. Even though the Academy Awards have all been handed out and some celebrities are back to wearing their pajamas, you might still need a little more of an Oscar fix over the next few days. There’s no Oscar Museum yet—they’re working on one—but you can always visit the home of the award ceremony at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. There won’t be any famous faces or thankfully any hosts—was it just us, or were Franco and Hathaway just awful?—but there are plenty of the golden statues.

The theatre is still hard at work cleaning things up after all of the weekend’s festivities, so you have to wait to take your tour until this Saturday. Once the tours open back up, you can expect a 30-minute tour through the facility where you can stop to in the George Eastman VIP Room and other spots where the in-crowd hangs out before and after the show. If you missed any of the ten films nominated for a Best Picture Academy Award, AMC Theatres is giving you one more chance to see them all on the big screen.

More than 100 AMC Theatres around the country will show all 10 movies, split between the next two Saturdays, February 19 & 26. We didn’t think The Hurt Locker would clean up, but maybe our entertainment gambling habit will pay off a little better next year. Only a block or so away from the Kodak Theatre, the museum has all sorts of junk from some of this year’s winners and nominees. There’s costumes from The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, The Blind Side, and plenty more. If you don’t really have any film favorites this year, there’s plenty of artifacts from years past. Slumdog Millionaire may be dominating the Oscar buzz, but it isn't the only Academy-nominated film catching tour planner's interest.

Best Picture nominee Milk made us want to hang out in San Francisco's Castro District circa 1978, and local walking tour organizers Crusin' the Castro have taken note—they're now offering a "Harvey Milk Tour." The comprehensive three-hour tour (Wednesdays only) takes you to the house where the pioneering politician lived, his campaign headquarters, through City Hall and to Milk's final resting place, along the way taking in the sights of the colorful Castro neighborhood, where much of the gay rights movement was born.

At $55, the price seems a little steep for a walking tour, although that includes admission to the GLBT Historical Society and its new exhibit about the Castro.

While rumors of the ending of the WGA strike seem to be running rampant, at least one star seeker is not optimistic: After promising that the party would continue, "Vanity Fair" magazine officially canceled its flash post-Oscar bash. A statement offered support for the writers, who as of now do not have waivers to write for the Jon Stewart-hosted awards ceremony, and said that having a party at this time would not be appropriate.

Now we'll have to take our couture gowns back for real. Hey, there's always George Clooney's house--Angelina Jolie said at Newsweek's Oscars roundtable that the party would be there. We'll bring some popcorn, but we can't promise that we'll be rooting for "Michael Clayton."

The Departed was a good movie, probably not Martin Scorsese's best--the man made Taxi Driver and Goodfellas you know--but none of that matters now because The Departed was voted the year's best picture, and Scorsese best director. The movie was filmed in Southie and Chucktown (South Boston and Charlestown) and in honor of the pictures Academy Award, we have thrown together a mini-movie set tour guide of Charlestown, where Jack Nicholson's character made his fictional home, and also where the cast and crew made their actual home back in the summer of 2005.
