Didn't score an invite to this year's "Vanity Fair" post-Oscars soiree? Too bad! It was the last time editor Graydon Carter would ever get down at Morton's Steakhouse, which is being turned into an L.A. branch of the SoHo House. The good news is, you can go to this year's party site without an invitation--or even a gala dress!

As Variety reported, next year's Oscars party will be held at Craft Los Angeles, the Tom Colicchio restaurant we crashed earlier this year. Craft is a notorious lunching-with-agents zone, so keep your ears open for celeb gossip when you stop in. While you may not get to party with George Clooney and Madonna at next year's Oscars, at least you can eat where they eat.

Still sleepy from watching last night's Oscars? The fun probably hasn't stopped yet for our friends on the West Coast even as the rest of us are schlepping off to work.

Leonardo DiCaprio arrived at the Kodak in a Prius--his own, probably, though we wonder if EV Rental Cars or PlanetTran have hit him up for spokesmanship yet. Common folk watching the arrivals at home on the West Coast may have caught commercials for California's new tourism campaign, which debuted last night.

As of 1:45 this morning, Madonna and Guy Ritchie were still getting down at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, a cultural institution celebrating what one magazine insider described as "US Weekly for rich people." Editor-in-chief Graydon Carter got his photo op with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Oscar host Ellen DeGeneras' girlfriend Portia de Rossi cozied up to Isla Fisher (Sasha Baron Cohen's fiancee), and everyone chowed down on In-N-Out Burgers brought in to give the hors d'oeuvres some competition. The champagne flows for winners and losers alike! Besides, it only goes on once a year, but the glory lasts forever (on IMDb and Wikipedia).

We gave up on the Grammys long ago but have yet to officially call it quits with the Academy Awards. Extract yourself from the couch on Sunday night and choose a destination from Jaunted's party round-up.

Where to, like, really watch the Oscars:
Actual Academy buffs will want to settle down at Central Cinema in Seattle, where dinner tickets are still available for $60 all-in. The food might be alright, but the real draw here is the combination of a cozy setting with big screen viewing.

Where to hate the Oscars:
You know the deal: every year, you say the Oscars have gotten worse, but you're going to watch anyway. Tickets are still available for the Roxie theater's "Up the Oscars!" party, where you can revel in the company of movie fans as jaded as yourself. A heckler's paradise in San Francisco.

Where to blog the Oscars:
Perhaps you live in Jersey City, but if not, it's still a quick trip on the PATH from New York to the Mojo Lounge's low-key Oscars event. Starting at 7 p.m., you can get in on  results betting, drinks, and free WiFi. Yes, while you were getting reamed for ethernet at a hotel last week, some bar in Jersey was offering wireless for free.

Other Oscars parties:
· Chicago: The 10 Pin Bowling Lounge will be showing the Oscars on HD screens, while the Kit Kat Lounge will present Dreamgirls numbers in drag and half-price martinis.
· Austin: Alama Drafthouse theaters in three locations will be holding parties, complete with proper awards viewing in real cinema settings. We prefer the Downtown party ($12).
· Elsewhere in Seattle: Chop Suey's party is free and co-hosted by the Peoples Republic of Komedy.

We toggled with the 10 Pin Bowling Lounge's OpenTable system for a bit, and it seems lanes are sold out for tonight, but you can still drop by the bar at the Chicago bowling alley for an Oscars party on Sunday. Starting at 7 p.m., they'll be humiliating dressing up the waiters, airing the show on eight HD screens, and holding a best-dressed contest. There will be drink and food specials, including a Babel couscous which we're sure we've seen promoted by more than one party already.

As an alternative, there's no cover for the Dreamgirls-themed party at Kit Kat Lounge on Sunday, where you can get your kitsch on and start watching the Oscars at 7 p.m. (on five jumbo screens). A troupe of drag queens will be performing songs from Dreamgirls, and you can down half-price martinis all night.

Everyone knows Jersey City is the 7th borough or whatever, so you might as well show some love and celebrate the Oscars there. The Mojo Lounge holds a party this Sunday, starting at 7 p.m.

Perks include bar grub in abundance, drink specials, Oscars action on a big projection screen, free raffle tickets, a little gambling action, and--best part, of course--free WiFi, so you can liveblog/drunkblog the results to your heart's content. Who knows, you might even get to meet one of those dudes from Rye Coalition!

It's mostly standing room at Chop Suey, which is actually more of a music venue/standard-issue club than a theater. But that won't stop the Oscars from playing there this Sunday. They'll have the ceremony rolling live on the onstage projection screen.

Chop Suey's Oscars party starts at 4 p.m. and admission is free, so get ready to start drinking on the cheap early. The event will be co-hosted by the Peoples Republic of Komedy, who will fill the commercial breaks and "boring parts" with live prank calls and Oscar-themed comedy. You may not run into as many film nerds here, but on the brighter side, you run a higher chance of enjoying some grade A drunken debauchery.

This Sunday in Austin, the Oscars action will be headed up by Alamo Drafthouse theaters, with three locations holding parties of their own.

At the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Downtown (innards pictured above), admission is free but $12 gets you a reserved seat, glass of champagne and a raffle ticket. While the awards play on the big screen, you can eat bacon pizza and sample from a healthy beer selection. The Alamo will fill the usual commercial breaks with memorable clips of ceremonies past and embarrassing projects of the stars.

The Alamo Village's shindig will follow the same basic game plan as the Downtown theater, while The Alamo Lamar is making its Oscars party a bit classier with a film-inspired feast. Tickets for the dinner are $60.
