'Jersey Shore' Will Return for Second Season, But Not to New Jersey

To start the week off right, we've got a bit of sweet and sour news for you: the original cast of MTV's Jersey Shore TV show will return for a second season, just not in New Jersey. We're betting that the decision to move had nothing to do with protestors who said the show was demeaning to NJ; MTV just probably wants variety and more bikinis on-screen by taking them somewhere warmer, as they have promised, according to Gothamist:

The press release noted that twelve new episodes will air this summer, and that Pauly D, Mike, Snooki, Jenni, Sammi, Ronnie and Vinny will 'escape the cold Northeast and find themselves in a new destination.' Are they telling us Jersey Shore is returning with everything but the Jersey Shore?

Wherever they go, we hope there's a laundromat, gym and tanning salon within a quick drive and that the cast—who are likely earning more than $10K per episode for this second series—don't get their fist pump and hair pouf on from a ritzy penthouse. Still, we're curious—where are they headed? We speculated that it'd be Atlantic City before reading this announcement, but now we're wondering if they're Miami-bound, or...even better for them...to West Palm Beach? Seaside Heights: 'Jersey Shore' Will First Conquer Your Television, Then Your Vacation

Have you thrown or attended a Jersey Shore party yet? Apparently they are all the rage, and not just in clubs where the cast is being tens of thousands of dollars to appear. People are throwing these parties in their own homes, voluntarily giving themselves "guidette poofs" with bumpits, or blowing out the Pauly D hair in good fun.

After last night's episode, we're sure that the parties will spread to whole weekend-long events, since the cast headed even further down the Shore for a mini-vacation at The Tropicana in Atlantic City. Not surprisingly, they found more girls to "pound out" and more guys to "smush."

Where Will 'Jersey Shore' Head For a Second Season?

What are your Thursday night plans? Either you're watching MTV's Jersey Shore or you aren't, and even if you aren't you're eventually battered with a recap of it or some news of the cast members partying it up at some point. The "guidos" are inescapable this season, and their fist-pumping antics and fake tans are money in the bank for MTV, so much so that the network is reportedly courting the cast for a second season at The Shore.

The possibility was first leaked by Vinny (far right in the photo), who was partying at La Pomme in New York City recently and flapping his mouth about it. Even if the show does return, we doubt they'll be heading back to Seaside Heights. They did pretty much everything last summer to make themselves notorious (and now hated), and Ronnie doesn't have anything good to say about the town right back:

When we first got there, everyone sees the cameras and they want to know who we are. So they were like, 'Welcome to Seaside. Welcome to Seaside.' But a few weeks later, people realized who we were and what was going on, it was like, 'Get the hell out of Seaside.'

So where will they go?...

Seaside Heights: Does MTV's 'Jersey Shore' Show Make You Want To Vacation There?

Have you ever "gone down the shore?" Or, better yet, have you seen the new Mtv reality show, following a group of people as they go down the shore for a summer of debauchery and fist pumping on the Jersey Shore? You either love it or despise it with a passion, but it's without a doubt a perfect train wreck of a show, and last night aired the third episode, where the strangers finally mesh and accept their fate to work through the summer as employees at a cheap souvenir T-shirt shop on the boardwalk.

Although the action happens in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, a vacation destination about an hour away from New York City, the antics of the self-professed "guidos" and "guidettes" are rousing the anger in both Times Square (at MTV's HQ) and the heart of dirty Jerz. There are groups (ah hem New Jersey Tourist Board) arguing that the show is stereotyping everything from Italian Americans to New Jerseyans to Staten and Long Islanders (since most of the kids hail from there). But what's really being put on display here, what's really under the microscope, is the loneliness and confusion of the summers of youth.

New York: Fans Of 'Glee' Will Flee To NYC And LA For The Upcoming Mall Tour

The cute cast, catchy tunes and biting one-liners of Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) are making Glee a runaway hit. The show is about Will (Matthew Morrison), a Spanish teacher hoping to bring back the glory of the school's glee club as we follow the drama of the kids in his club and, of course, of his arch nemesis, Sue.

Fanatics of the new Fox comedy, or "Gleeks" as they are known, are finally going to get the chance to not only buy the first volume of music from the show, but also see the cast live at mall appearances in New York, New Jersey and California.

East Rutherford: Score Tickets To See Bruce Springsteen at Giants Stadium For The Last Time

Its no surprise that hometown boy Bruce Springsteen holds the record as the number one selling artist at the Meadowlands and has sold out more than 50 concerts there with the E Street Band. The boss was scheduled to play three more shows at Giants Stadium on September 30th, October 2nd and October 3rd, but because the shows sold out so quickly, they have added two more dates on October 8th and October 9th. The high demand for tickets is, at least in part, due to the fact that Springsteen will be the last major act to play at the stadium before it is demolished.

If you want to see Bruce at Giants Stadium one last time, you better act fast. The additional show on October 9th is already sold out but, according to Ticketmaster, there are still tickets available for the October 8th concert. As of this morning, a search for the "best available" seats only returned seats in the upper-most level of the stadium for $65.

NJ: Paul McCartney Insists He's Fine, Even While Visiting New Jersey

Always one to keep us filled in on the whereabouts of celebrities, Page Six reported yesterday that Paul McCartney was handling his messy divorce from Heather Mills just fine.

Monday night, the former Beatle dined at Italian eatery Il Gattopardo on West 54th Street. When he got up to leave, patrons applauded and cheered - one even shouted, "We're with you all the way, Paul!" The circus continued yesterday when McCartney, after being chased by photographers and reporters, stopped his car in residential New Jersey to give an impromptu press conference, where he said, "Look, I am doing just fine. I just need some time to myself."

We're not so sure we believe that. Sometimes, we would prefer a messy divorce over a trip through residential Jersey.
