Things are continuing to go well for Porter Airlines. Their new route to Boston seems like a hit, and they’ve begun to spread their signature service beyond their home base of Toronto City Centre Airport. Earlier this month they cut the ribbon on a new lounge for passengers traveling to and from Ottawa International Airport. The lounge is open to all passengers holding a ticket—there’s no annual fee or other sneaky membership requirements.

They got things right in Toronto, so the airline didn't stray from its modern and comfortable design when moving to Ottawa. There’s computer workstations, a conference room, and obviously complimentary WiFi access. If you build up a slight appetite by doing too much work there’s also free snacks and espresso in heated cups—perfect for those cold Canadian winters. Frequent flyers of US Airways will soon be smiling a little more as they prepare to board their flights. The airline has finally caught up with other carriers and has added free booze to the menu at the US Airways Club. However, a membership to the airline club will still set passengers back at least $325 to join, and can cost $450 if they don’t have any status with the airline. The free alcohol will begin to flow in the clubs starting on October 30.

Additionally, passengers will be able to use the clubs of partner airlines as well. This includes Continental Airlines’ Presidents Club as the airline finally joined the Star Alliance this week. After a long snooze in one of Eithad Airways' crazy fancy suites, you are going to need to eventually stumble off the plane, like it or not. That’s why the airline is starting to expand its offerings when it comes to matching fancy schmancy lounges. The airline opened their first lounge outside of the United Arab Emirates over the summer in Frankfurt, and now they have their eyes on the comfort prize in London.

Along with moving their flights from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4 at London-Heathrow, a new lounge will open for the classiest of fliers on September 30. Singapore Airlines SilverKris and KrisFlyer Lounges
· How Much: The cost to get into Singapore Air's SilverKris Lounge or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge really depends on how good of a "deal" you got on your ticket. The spoiled flyers, who refuse any class other than Suites, First, or Business will have no problem enjoying the swanky luxuries that the airline has to offer. If you're more cautious of ticket price and you only have KrisFlyer Elite Gold or Star Alliance Gold status, you are still allowed access to the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge—which is only a small step down in luxury compared to its big brother SilverKris lounge.

· Internet Access: The Internet here is served WiFi style and is free. Honestly, we wouldn't expect anything less from one of the world's best airlines.

Air France Lounges
· How Much: Like most of the international airlines we've covered in our Airport Lounges series, Air France has several different lounges from which to choose. Those flying in L'Espace Première (First) or L'Espace Affaires (Business) will have access to all of them under the Air France brand, except the one First Class Lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport which is for the spoiled First Class fliers only. Additionally, those who are lucky enough to be SkyTeam Elite Plus, Flying Blue Gold, or Club 2000 will be warmly welcomed into the lounges with a "bonjour" as well.
· Internet Access: The good old World Wide Web will be at your fingertips in most lounges, and thankfully access is free in the Departure Lounges, Arrival Lounges, and The Patio. No need to rely on the power of 3G and the iPhone here.

Lufthansa Lounges
· How Much: Just like British Airways, Lufthansa has a few lounges that cater to the different types of big spending travelers. The best of course are the First Class Lounges, accessible only with a First Class ticket or membership in the airline's HON Circle. Senator Lounges are pretty nice too, but technically a step down from First, and they'll be yours to enjoy if you're a first-class flier, a Senator Club member, or have gold status within the Star Alliance. Last but not least are the Business Lounges, those second homes of the frequent business flier. Here, any membership with the airline will get you in, or there's always the option of just ponying up the extra fare for a business-class ticket.
· Internet Access: WiFi is available in most lounges, thanks once again to T-Mobile HotSpots. However, unless you are in the HON club or are a First Class flier, it's going to cost you about $10 per hour to access the web—bummer for the business class ticket holders.
