This is the Future: Kuwait Airport's Super Slick New Terminal Designs

Have you ever gone to the airport just to check it out? Not to take a flight, but to plane-spot, dine at a restaurant before security or just appreciate the architecture? You know we have, and do, but no matter your answer there's a huge chance you'll be champing at the bit to get to Kuwait International Airport in the next few years as they build a whopper of a new airport, with some seriously chic design by Foster + Partners.
Just look at it above, and the rest of the photo gallery of renderings below. That is some slick stuff. First thing we thought of, though? The Eero Saarinen TWA Flight Center, probably because we were just in there admiring the clean, white curves on Sunday and mostly because it actually looks derivative of the design. Do you agree?

Is There Really a McDonald's in Iraq?

Even though we've located this McDonald's imposter in Dohuk, Iraq, we have yet to find a true Golden Arches in the country, one with Quarter pounders and McFlurrys and all that fast food that so bad for you and yet tastes so good.
Yet, after we posted the story on the Iraq knock-off restaurant, we heard from a Jaunted reader serving in the Middle East, who assures us that "there are a few at Forward operating bases all over the country of Iraq. For one instance is the one at Camp Speicher Iraq." So we did some more digging, and although we found mentions of a Subway, Burger King and Pizza Hut at Camp Speicher near Tikrit, any McDonald's locations remained top secret.
But before entering what might be a completely McDs-free land, soldiers homesick with hamburgers usually roll up to the open-24-hours McDonald's at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, where many flights leave to or arrive from Baghdad. We managed to find a picture of it above, and it's probably similar to whatever Golden Arches might be found closer to the front lines.
Got another shocking McDonald's location we should know about? This is going to be a running series, so email us your suggestions!
Related Stories:
· What Is A McDonalds Doing in Iraq? [Jaunted]
· The Most Shocking McDonald's Locations in the World [Jaunted]
· More McDonalds Locations That Make You Go 'Hmm' [Jaunted]

What MySpace Money Buys: Jessica Simpson's Kuwait Trip

Today Jessica Simpson is headlining the Operation MySpace concert in Kuwait, but is her performance going to be worth the boatloads of money it is going to cost to get Jessica from the US to Kuwait and back, at a comfort level she is accustom to?
According to those omniscient "sources," a private plane will take Simpson, her dad, and her hairstylist, Ken Paves, to Kuwait for approximately $150,000. Once in Kuwait "sources" claim Jessica will be unlikely to bunk with the troops and more likely to sleep in a proper hotel bed. Oh and Paves gets a whopping $10,000 a day just for waking up in Kuwait, so say sources. Damn. Thank God for all that MySpace cash Murdoch gave Tom, huh?
Somehow we knew the girl that was photographed about to put her dog through an x-ray machine didn't hop on the first available Jazeera Airways flight to Kuwait.
Related Stories:
· Simpson's Kuwait Concert No Charity Show [MSNBC]
· Jessica Simpson coverage [Jaunted]
