Katie Holmes made the best of the unpredictable Canadian weather over the weekend.

Katie, who has spent most of the summer in Toronto playing Jackie Kennedy in the upcoming mini-series The Kennedy's, took Suri and her big sister Isabella out for some (soggy) family fun on Saturday.

Jennifer Garner was spotted boarding a flight out of JFK Tuesday with her daughters, Seraphina Rose and Violet. The girls have been in New York City for the past couple of weeks while Jennifer filmed Arthur, a remake of the 1981 classic. The reboot stars Russell Brand, who stripped down to his underwear on the set Tuesday. No wonder Jen was in such a hurry to get out town!

Springtime in Paris is one thing, but springtime in Paris with children is totally another. After all, they'll only be thrilled by the pretty scenery and picnics under the Eiffel Tower for so long, so we're recommending a field trip to the newest exhibition at the city's Musée des Arts Décoratifs (Museum of the Decorative Arts). Back in December, the coolest Playmobil toy retrospective show opened there and it's been extended until May 16.

The show, titled Il était une fois Playmobil, or "Once Upon a Time There Was Playmobil," celebrates the 35th anniversary of the brand with everything from their rarest playsets (thanks to a private collector) to the brightest advertisements over the last three decades. They even use the figurines and Playmobil props to create little worlds—dioramas—around which you can construct stories for your kids. American Airlines flights usually make a stop at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and that’s totally cool if kids are part of your carry-on luggage. Terminal D—that’s the new one with high ceilings and international departures—has a McDonald’s Play Area right by Gate 33. If you find yourself in Terminal E, there’s another play place with padded floor mats, toys, and plastic things to jump on. Terminal B has the best to offer with its Pepsi Junior Flyer’s Club. It features an air traffic control tower, runway, and airplanes for your little captain.

When it comes to flying on an airplane, children can often be the most discerning of travelers. They won't put up with bad food, lack of amenities, or frankly, anything they doesn't wanna.

So we took a look at the perks airlines offer the pint-sized set to see if kids do have a good reason to whine. Sure, some airlines roll out the red carpet; Southwest accommodates kids before they even board the plane with special family areas at all the gates while other airlines shower kids with wings, kits, special menus and loads of entertainment options. But there's one thing they won't give your little one, though: Be sure to BYO blankie. People crowd places like New York City's American Museum of Natural History to give the kids some scientific edu-tainment. But if you're looking to change it up, check out the underrated New York Hall of Science in Queens.

Whether it was because of a family road trip or National Geographic, most of us were inspired to become travelers at an early age. Now, the non-profit Project Explorer is bringing that inspiration to the classroom and exposing kids of all ages to different places around the planet. Their website, ProjectExplorer.org, provides free virtual field trips that include information about everything from the history to the culture and cuisines of far off locations around the globe. Their current trips include Jordan, Shakespearean England, South Africa, and a visit to Malaysia is also in the works.

To further their mission, Project Explorer is asking leaders, visionaries, public figures, children and the general public to answer one question: What does being a good global citizen mean to you? You can share your answer by becoming a member of Good Global Citizen. Well you are there, you can also watch inspiring videos by others who have already answered Project Explorer's call including Andrew Zimmern, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Russell Simmons, Allison Janney, Ziggy Marley, Dulé Hill, Paul Rudd and Mario Batali.
