This week the Sasquatch! Festival announced their 2012 lineup featuring some old favorites, like Jack White and Beck, as well as newer groups like Bon Iver.

The tenth incarnation of the fest, which will be held on Memorial Day Weekend (May 25-28) at The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington, will also bring the laughs with comedy acts like Tenacious D, the Portlandia duo of Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, and comedians Nick Kroll, Todd Barry, and Rob Delaney.

Four-day passes for Sasquatch! start at $315 (which includes standard camping) and go on sale Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Also, for the first time this year, festival goers will be able to come and go with a wristband allowing re-entry to the festival grounds.

In between all the commercials and snacking there was a pretty good football game last night, and when the final whistle was blown it was the New York Giants on top. They’re the Super Bowl champs—for the second time in four years—and now New York is ready to welcome their team home for a little bit of a party and parade. Mayor Bloomberg is putting the final touches on this and that, but we do know that the celebration is taking place on Tuesday.

Late last night New York City officials released the plans for the ticker tape parade, so if you’re going to call out sick tomorrow, start planting some subtle cues this afternoon at the office. All the fun will take place in Lower Manhattan, as the parade is scheduled to do its thing beginning at Battery Place and Washington Street around 11am. You may have heard that this year’s Super Bowl is taking place on Sunday in Indianapolis, and if you’re thinking about attending in person it might just be possible. Costco—what don’t they sell—is coming through with some last minute tickets, so if you’ve got a whole lot of spare change it might be time to cash it in.

The Giants, Patriots, and you will all be in Indy this weekend, but that’s assuming you have around $3,000 extra to spend on this year’s big game. Costco had some bigger and fancier packages available last week, but since you procrastinated there’s only one option left. The $3,000 price tag will get you one Upper-level End Zone Ticket to Super Bowl XLVI, and they’ll even throw in admission to a pre-game party. With a movie version currently in theaters, a Tony Award-winning play on Broadway, a novel on the best-sellers list and a past SNL parody, War Horse has completely invaded pop culture. But, it has also offered an opportunity to find travel inspiration in all of its various incarnations.

While War Horse (the movie) was filmed at several locations throughout the U.K., including Devon where it is set, none of the movie's locations is more picturesque than the village of Castle Combe in Chippenham.
