With our favorite Upper East Siders on hiatus until March 9, we are free to engage in wild speculation about the once-denied, now-confirmed "Gossip Girl" throwback spinoff. The leaks turned out to be true: The new series will focus on Lily and Rufus' fine '80s romance in Los Angeles, although how Lily got her staid, establishment parents to let her move to California is anyone's guess.
We've heard the name Kristen Bell (currently the voice of "Gossip Girl") bandied about to play little Lil, but the only announced member of the cast so far is Krysten Ritter (Isla Fisher's best friend in the new movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic") who has been tapped to play the older Bart sister and black sheep.]]>
