When you've spent all summer in a wardrobe of bathing trunks, a tux can feel like a straightjacket. George Clooney may have put on his fall uniform to attend a gala at the Venice Film Festival, but he'd clearly rather be on his boat.

He'll have to don the monkey suit again tomorrow for the world premiere of his new film, the Coen Brothers' "Burn After Reading." He doesn't have a film lined up for the fall though, just some voice work for the children's film "The Fantastic Mister Fox," so maybe he'll be back in vacation mode next week.

George Clooney relaxes with a drink on his yacht off the coast of Elba, the Tuscan island to which Napoleon was once exiled.

He may look relaxed, but the several-times-over World's Sexiest Man is still working on vacation: His production company just signed a deal for the movie rights to Jonathan Mahler's The Challenge, a nonfiction book about a Yemeni man fighting charges of being Osama bin Laden's confidante. Clooney may star in the very timely movie as well.

And in between welcoming guests like Cindy Crawford, Clooney found time to publicly express his condolences for the loss of co-star Bernie Mac, who died Sunday in a Chicago hospital. Maybe he just gets more done with his shirt off!

This week we offer you the movie that will make everyone happy. "Leatherheads" combines a romantic comedy with football, almost unheard of previously.

George Clooney plays Dodge Connolly--yeah, we know, dumb name--who's trying to take his 1925 pro football team to the championship. He recruits Carter Rutherford (John Krasinski), an American college football star and war hero, to save the day. An enterprising journalist, Lexie Littleton (Renee Zellweger), trys to uncover Carter's war hero story, and in the process become entangled with both men.

Of course there are tons of sassy remarks and retro references, and something tells us Clooney's character isn't far from who he really is...

"Leatherheads" was shot in some of the prettiest parts of the southern US, so in that vein we offer you some cool things to check out in Charlotte, North Carolina:

Whenever celebrities converge on fancy-dress premieres, the rest of the world reads all about it the next day online or in next week's US Weekly. But the 9,000 lucky residents of Maysville, Kentucky won't have to wait to read the press coverage: They'll be able to see the stars for themselves when George Clooney descends upon the town bearing the reels of his new movie "Leatherheads." (Actually, he probably won't carry them to town himself.)

The film, which was shot in North and South Carolina, stars native Kentuckian Clooney--who also directed and co-wrote the film--as the manager of a new football league in the 1920s.

It co-stars John Krasinski as a promising player and Renee Zellweger as a saucy journalist. The film officially opens April 4--except for Maysville where it opens Monday night.
