It's interesting to see which nonspecific places grab the most craigslist Missed Connections in which cities. In L.A. it's the Starbucks or the gym, and in Seattle, it's car to car. In Miami, most love matches seem to be made either at the airport or in the sky above Miami, or at a grocery store called Publix. Live and learn.

If you've done your shopping for the week and don't plan to be heading to the airport anytime soon, here are the other locations where the most craigslist Missed Connections take place. But don't hold your breath: Miami residents seem to be less enamored of craigslist Missed Connections than those from other towns. It must be the heat.

Key West
You can have the mango! As described by the Miami Herald "The perfect place to enjoy delicious Caribbean-style seafood, outside of course, while sipping a cold drink and watching people wander on Duval Street. This is one of the most popular lunch spots in the Key."

"A Great Place to Bring a Date...Or to Find One!" is the motto on this bar's site. Good for the m4m sightings as you enjoy some wings or a drink special.

Mansion

If you want the flashy, noisy, sexy Miami nightlife experience, then this 'superclub' is the place to find it. With "three meticulously designed rooms of music as well as regular celebrity hosts," you're sure to find somebody to welcome you to Miami.

Seattle: Most Missed in Seattle

While you'd think that most of Seattle's Craigslist Missed Connections would happen in coffeeshops, apparently you're most likely to be spotted if you're mobile--the majority of missed connections appear to be hotties either riding the bus or driving their cars.

However, there are a few stationary hot spots that do turn up more than once, so if you're hoping to be someone's Missed Connection, park yourself at one of these places:

El Camino
607 N. 35th St.
When the weather permits it, enjoy people watching on this 'fancy' Mexican restaurant's patio. The Stranger recommends that you "don't miss the deep-fried plantain chips with guacamole."

Crypt
113 Tenth Ave.
Guys looking for other guys to share an interest in all things leather should linger in this erotica shop to see who is making eyes at who. You might not want to linger and ogle TOO much, though. That's just creepy.

Noc Noc
1516 Second Ave.
This homey bar and dance club is known for friendly waitstaff, cheap drinks and cheery clientele, but you never know who might be too shy to approach you as you do your thang on the dance floor.

We all like to think that somebody has a secret crush on us. And sometimes the loneliest/most egotistical of us cruise Craigslist Missed Connections to see if maybe, possibly, somebody spotted us and thought we were so good-looking they just had to stick it up on the Internet.

If you're hoping to see your own description up on the MC boards, there are a few locales in Chicago (other than the gym or the El) from which several missed connections seem to pop up. Stake your claim at one of these spots. Maybe if you wait long enough, somebody too shy to approach will fall for you:

Great for sports lovers who enjoy hanging out in Lincoln Park but don't necessarily need to drop a lot of cash or drink fancy booze to attract a potential mate.

Boystown has no shortage of gay bars, yet, hands-down, the most m4m postings in the area originate at these two neighboring postings of the cozy coffee chain.
