Finnair Flight Attendants Surprise Passengers with Bollywood Booty Shaking (VIDEO)

This Friday morning, do you have a weird craving to watch Scandinavian women wearing saris, dancing in sync with lively Bollywood music? Well then, this is your lucky friday!
Just a few days ago, a group of dancing Finns boarded a Finnair flight from Helsinki to Delhi and—you know what's coming—performed a whole dance routine to "Om Shanti Om" in celebration of India's Republic Day. Even business class got a dose of the booty shaking, and check out the flight attendants getting down!
Of course there's a story behind the idea to bring this onboard, and you can read it here, on the Finnair blog. Umm and yeah—we totally want to learn that dance now.

Three Airports That Already Celebrated the Holidays with Flashmobs

Traveling today? Who isn't?! Luckily not flashmobbers, since the holiday airport flashmobs are done for the season; airports don't want to crowd up their walkways on one of the busiest travel days of the year, you see. Flashmobs already got their dancing and videos out of the way over the last few weeks.
Without a doubt, the winner for best airport flashmob of winter 2011 is Denver International, with their swing-happy routine. Essentially they Lindy-bombed the place. The video above is energetic enough to hold your attention all the way through, and perhaps even get you grinning.
The following two videos are flashmob-esque:

HI : And Travel Flash Mob of the Month Goes to: Hawaiian Airlines' In-Flight Hula

Earlier this month Hawaiian Airlines arranged a little bit of an in-flight flash mob in the form of a live hula performance at 38,000 feet over the Pacific Ocean. It’s hardly a massive get together filled with social media addicts, but it is a nicely arranged introduction to Hawaii—as well as some of the best live in-flight entertainment around.
The San Francisco-based hula school Na Lei Hulu I Ka Wekiu performed the dance en route to the islands from the City by the Bay on July 14. There were a couple traditional songs played during the performance along with I Left My Heart In San Francisco—ha.

Grand Rapids, Michigan's Flash Mob Video About Death Goes Viral. Yay?

The rust belt city is demographically upside down, having lost more under-18 residents than it gained in the last decade. Wikipedia says that the per capita income for the city is $17,661, with one in every five children living below poverty. Being mayor is a part-time job. Literally.
In an effort to show that Newsweek was wrong and that they were still hip and relevant, Grand Rapids responded with a YouTube video of thousands of residents lipsyncing to Don McLean's American Pie.
Berlin: Join 33,000 Others To Recreate The Fall Of The Berlin Wall On Its 20th Anniversary

But this upcoming Monday, November 9 in Berlin, a flash mob will take on a somber note as up to 33,000 people gather to recreate the Berlin Wall on the 20th anniversary of the night it came down.
The "Mauer Mob"—know that "mauer" means "wall" in German— will happen at approximately 8:15pm on Monday, lasting for about 15 minutes so that visitors, Berliners, and even those who were there for the original tearing down of the wall can commemorate the date and capture photos of the scene. Already almost 6,000 people have registered to participate on the event's official site, and if you're in the vicinity, you should not miss this opportunity.
For tips on what to see and what to skip while you're not becoming part of a human Berlin wall in the city, be sure to check out our Berlin Field Trip series.
Related Stories:
· Temporarily Recreating The Berlin Wall [Kottke]
· Mauer Mob [Official Site]
· Walk The Path Of The Berlin Wall And Crash Into A Starbucks [Jaunted]
· Berlin coverage [Jaunted]
