The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Film Independent, which produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced last week that they were launching the Film Independent at LACMA Film Series. This series will mix classic and contemporary films, conversations with artists, and special guest-curated programs.

The film screenings kick off tomorrow night with Jackie Brown, but the event everyone is talking about is Thursday night's live reading of The Breakfast Club, directed by Jason Reitman.
