The Search For Ideal Luggage Continues: V Australia's 'Perfect Bag'

Very very soon however, all this could be put to rest by the release of the fruit of the labors of a fashion designer-airline combination.
Whether you're of the type that prefers the sixteen zippered pockets and multitude of snaps, or the type that wants only a simplistic tote, V Australia is asking you to help them design "the perfect bag for the perfect trip."

Although we got the dream New Years vacation out of the way a few years ago in Venice, it doesn't mean that we can't lust after the combination of fashion and free travel that the new contest from Yves Saint Laurent offers.
Here's the details, for all you wannabe holiday jetsetters: YSL is launching a new fragrance called Parisienne and they've devoted a mini-site to it, complete with a blog of Paris travel tips. To win a trip for two to Paris for New Years, you must also share a story and photos, specifically "about how you have experienced the spirit of Parisienne in your own life."
Los Angeles: The Original Street Style Photographer, Irving Penn, Hits LA's Getty Center

But before The Sartorialist and Bill Cunningham were all the rage, a different kind of street style was of interest: real people, wearing layman's clothing, photographed against a neutral backdrop rather than the hustle and bustle of a big city.
Los Angeles' <a href=http://www.getty.edu/">Getty Center is currently celebrating photography vanguard Irving Penn, who recently passed away after a storied career working for magazines including Harper's Bazaar and Vogue. Irving Penn: Small Trades is an exhibition of Penn's photographs from the early 1950s featuring men and women in their work attire.
Los Angeles: Yes, Virginia, Los Angeles Does Have A Fashion Week

We're the first to admit that Los Angeles is no New York when it comes to carrying fashion heft, but there's talent floating around the 405, especially in the Downtown Fashion District. Since early October, various shopping events, trunk shows, previews, and the like, have been taking place around town in celebration of the city's well-known and emerging designers.
Edgy denim label Rock & Republic recently held a collaboration launch party with Essie, and former Robertson Boulevard super-boutiques Madison and Diavolina celebrated their West Third flagship store launch last Thursday with stylists and respected denim designers Emily Current and Merritt Elliott of Current/Elliott.
