It's been just over a year since Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM survived the crash of their private jet on the runway in Columbia, SC. DJ AM, who recently died of a drug overdose, and Travis were the only survivors of the accident which killed four others after the plane's tires skidded, it overshot the runway and then crashed and burned.
Although they'd probably rather forget the whole incident, the widows of the deceased and now Travis, who's the only one now still living, have settled their claims with the companies involved—namely LearJet and Goodyear Tire Company. The amount of the settlement is private, but what we do know from court document obtained by TMZ is that the amount is over $25,000. As it should be. When DJ AM was still alive and pressing his case, he had demanded a cool $20 million dollars for "medical expenses, lost earnings, profits and economic damages...non-economic losses, such as mental and physical pain." ]]>
