While we were having a little Thursday night drink near Times Square last night, Rihanna was performing in the Opal Theater on Royal Caribbean's newest, biggest, largest cruise ship ever: the Oasis of the Seas to celebrate the night before her first cruise out of the Fort Lauderdale.

Then, this morning as we mixed some instant cappuccino in our modest kitchen, the Oasis set sail from the US with 5,400 passengers for her first voyage, a preview cruise that included the Good Morning America gang. While going about our mundane day, it was weird to remove ourselves from the scene for a moment and think about what was taking place; that the 225,000-ton ship with 20-ish restaurants and a freaking Central Park with live foliage, was floating. The young actors, British and Indian by birth respectively, were spotted recently at LAX after a romantic lunch at La Conversation Cafe in Los Angeles. Pinto recently finished filming her role as the title character in "Miral," a drama about adoption shot in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, Israel with Best Director nominee Julian Schnabel. The Hamptons have always been a hot spot for celeb activity, but this week it's the North Fork region of Long Island that has the big names. Yesterday, Tom Cruise was spotted jogging on Route 25 through Orient and East Marion with his bodyguard, who rode along side him on a bicycle. Tom seemed to be enjoying his run and waved to fans as they drove by. He was probably happy to have a few days off.

Tom's been busy working on the movie Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz in Boston. The production was scheduled to move to Salzburg, Austria today but Austrian filmmakers protested a tax incentive offered to Cruise and company by Salzburg authorities. In response to the backlash, the shoot has been cut down to just 7 days rather than the three weeks they had originally scheduled. Tom and Cameron will also be shooting in Spain and Hawaii over the next few week.

So, what would bring Tom Cruise to eastern Long Island in the middle of November? Most likely, his third anniversary with wife Katie Holmes. Mrs. Cruise is currently filming The Romantics in Southold, NY with co-stars Adam Brody, Elijah Wood, Anna Paquin, Josh Duhamel and Malin Akerman. The cast seems to be making themselves at home while filming in Long Island. Apparently the D-Jeet didn't listen to our warnings about one of the World's Most Dangerous Airports, that of the Caribbean island St. Barths, since he and girlfriend Minka Kelly are busy celebrating the Yankees' World Series win with a little swimming on the island beloved by the rich and famous.

According to the NY Post, Derek Jeter and Kelly were spotted arriving to Saint Barthélemy over the weekend, and then they promptly holed up in a beach house, so now news on what exclusive hotel. We wonder how white Jeter's knuckles got during the heart-stopping landing, one that takes the plane almost right onto the beach before you've even got your swimsuit on.

Truthfully though, we much prefer St. Barths over New York nightclub 1OAK for a World Series celebration; maybe next time Jeter will invite us along so that we can comfort him during the scary final approach.

Pretend for a moment that you fall suddenly ill on a coast-to-coast flight, so ill that the flight crew asks over the PA system for any medical personnel to come and help. A doctor is located, and just when you being to hope that everything will be okay, the man pictured above shows up—a reality show plastic surgeon. Sure, Dr. Robert Rey is trained in medicine, but you're not exactly having a breast lift mid-flight.

Dr. Rey, the star of E! Television's hit show "Dr. 90210," was on a flight to Newark on Sunday, when a young girl's troubling sickly appearance necessitated action. After checking out her vitals and symptoms, Dr. Rey feared that this was a case of the dreaded Swine Flu, made even more trying for the fact that the girl was switching planes in Newark to continue on to Scandinavia.

After giving the girl some water and sugar, Dr. Rey could do all he could. He didn't alert airport employees nor did he save the girl's health, but he did reemerge in the news for a little bit, a rush he probably hasn't experienced since he restrained an elderly man trying to rush the cockpit on a flight several years ago. Rey to the Rescue!

After a whirlwind promotional tour of Europe that included London, Munich, Paris and Madrid, the cast of New Moon arrived back in Los Angeles this weekend for the movie's official world premiere.

The premiere takes place tonight at Mann’s Village Theatre, 961 Broxton Avenue, in Westwood Village. The entire cast is expected to be on hand and the red carpet arrivals are scheduled to take place between 5 PM and 6:30 PM. The After Party will also take place in Westwood, at an undisclosed location near Lindbrook Dr and Glendon Ave around 9:00 PM. If you're thinking about heading down there tonight to ogle the cast as they hit the red carpet, you won't be alone. The L.A. Gwyneth Paltrow is getting back to her normal routine in her adopted hometown of London. The actress and her kids, Apple and Moses, spent the summer in Los Angeles so she could work on the sequel to Iron Man, but now they're all back in the UK and okay. Gwyn was spotted sipping on a cup of coffee yesterday after skipping her kids off to school.

The family's routine won't last too long though. Gwyneth just signed on for The Danish Girl, replacing Charlize Theron as Greta, a 1920s painter whose husband poses for her as a female model.
