It looks like this year's Cannes Film Festival turned out to be Festival de Sean Penn. Not only did Penn have two winning films in the fest, he was also honored at the first Cinema For Peace inaugural dinner for his charity work in Haiti.

On Saturday, This Must Be The Place, in which Sean plays an aging rock star, won the festival's prestigious Ecumenical Jury Prize. And on Sunday, the Cannes Film Festival awarded its highest prize, the Palme d'Or, to The Tree of Life, a film by Terrence Malick which also stars Penn, along with Brad Pitt. We knew Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were going to have a good night in Cannes, but we didn't think it would be this good! After premiering Brad's new movie, the highly anticipated Tree of Life, at the Palais des Festivals, the couple joined a few of their celeb friends, including Naomi Campbell, at the L'Affable restaurant to celebrate.

L'Affable is a pretty affordable place when it's not Film Festival season. A prix fixe dinner menu runs 39 Euros, whereas lunch of a few courses is only 25 Euros.

Though Brad and Ange looked flawless when they arrived at the place, by the time they emerged a few hours later, he had an ear-to-ear grin and she looked completely disheveled, with messy hair, smeared make-up and glassy eyes. We're not sure what happened inside the party, but based on the looks of Brangelina, we're guessing a lot of alcohol was involved!

The Cannes Film Festival is in full swing with the premieres of several new movies over the weekend, including Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, but it's the parties that have people buzzing.

The weekend's biggest bash was thrown by financing group Red Granite and featured fireworks and performances by Kanye West with Jamie Foxx and Pharrell Williams on Carlton Beach. Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper were among the A-Listers there to dine on gourmet pasta, sushi, and canapés while sucking down free top shelf liquor.

But tonight, things will really get interesting as the fest's most anticipated film, The Tree of Life, premieres at Palais K followed by an afterparty with the film's stars, Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and their significant others, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson.

AmfAR, the foundation for AIDS Research, is preparing for their Cinema Against AIDS Gala, which is held annually during the Cannes Film Festival.

Add Gerard Butler to the list of the beautiful people celebrities who have spent the last week in the South of France. Butler got a little R & R in this weekend after spending much of last week at the Cannes Film Festival, airkissing actresses and slathering on suntan oil.

There are some things you can always count on, the sun will rise, the tides will change, and Lindsay Lohan will be surrounded by some kind of drama. In this week's incident, Lindsay, who is in France promoting her latest role as porn star Linda Loveless at the Cannes Film Festival, reported her passport stolen. But, she never bothered to request a new one which meant she was turned away from her flight back to the U.S. on Tuesday.

According to the U.S. Embassy, Lindsay faxed a copy of her passport to their Paris embassy but had not officially requested a new one which involves all sorts of paperwork and red tape.

It’s the timing of the incident that has some people raising an eyebrow over Lindsay's story. The actress was scheduled to be in a Los Angles court on Thursday morning but couldn’t get out of France to make the mandatory hearing.
