Beverly Hills: Spotting the TMZ 'Show on Wheels' Tour Bus in Beverly Hills

We have a little confession. When we rolled up to Beverly Hills yesterday, we came upon a TMZ Hollywood Tour bus, which just launched May 14, on Santa Monica Boulevard. Gossips that we are, we craned our necks to see what was going on in windowless, half-full bus, and we caught a glimpse of a TV set showing Nic Cage's mug.
Alas, we were so busy gawking and trying to figure out if we were near a Nic Cage landmark (his home? his fave toupee shop? where he hides in shame for starring in the National Treasure films?) we didn't get a chance to snap a photo. But here's what the flashy red bus looks like.

Colorado City: Would You Go on a 'Polygamy Experience' Bus Tour?

Kuala Lumpur: Kuala Lumpur Is Hopping

Hip Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur is suddenly promoting their Hop-On Hop-Off bus service, although this government-sponsored scheme actually launched more than a year ago. The tourist bus works a circuit past 40 major sightseeing spots and shopping malls, and on one RM38 ticket ($12) you can use it for 24 hours, while RM65 ($20) gets you 48 hours.
Sometimes these buses are a good value; sometimes you'd do a lot better just taking cheap public transport around a city. The jury's still out on the KL version, though something caught our eye on the website that we haven't been able to verify yet: They mention having WiFi on board their buses.
If it's free and fast, then we're all for the KL Hop-On Hop-Off, except that we might do more hopping on than off to catch up on all our emails while we see the sights.
Related Stories:
· KL Hop-On Hop-Off [Official Site]
· Kuala Lumpur Travel coverage [Jaunted]

Catch the Naked Bus Around New Zealand

We have a feeling that some office web servers might block access when their employees try to book the Naked Bus, but it's really nowhere near as exciting as it sounds. Well, it is kind of cool--it's the New Zealand version of a budget bus line, with fares as low as NZ$1 for city-to-city routes across NZ. That means for about 75 cents (plus booking fee--another 50 cents) you can travel from Queenstown to Christchurch or pretty much anywhere else you want.

Naked Bus is big on cutting out paperwork and unnecessary hassle so you can pay using internet banking and get your ticket as a text message to your cell phone. And if you get your mates booking tickets too then you can earn nakedrewards points. The only thing we're still not sure about is whether or not there's an on-board clothing allowance, or if you have to ride the bus naked.

Related Stories:
· German Tourists Beat Heatwave With Nudity [Jaunted]
· Travel Stories in New Zealand [Jaunted]
