New York: Nothing Motivates Better Than The Promise Of A Big Buffet

We were drawn to the idea of City Running Tours when we first read about them on HotelChatter last year, but we’ve yet to do one ourselves, mostly because we like to enact a strict no-exercise rule on vacations.
But we might make an exception for their latest endeavor, which is a sightseeing tour that brilliantly pairs exercise with overeating. Genius!
CRT’s bRUNch event concept kicks off on Saturday, June 27 with their first running/brunching event in New York. $50 gets you a guided 5-mile tour of Manhattan, drinking water, and prix fixe brunch at STAND. The NYU-area burger restaurant is known for its fancy-fast-food options like burgers topped with bacon and eggs or Portobello mushrooms and onion marmalade. Recently they've launched a brunch menu complete with the requisite cocktails, including very reasonably priced $3 mimosas and bloody Marys.
Sounds like we might need to run another 5 miles home to work that off.
Related Stories:
· bRUNch [City Running Tours]
· STAND [Official Site]
· City Running Tours Partners with The Westin Times Square [HotelChatter]

The latest mobile restaurant to hit the streets has attracted nearly 500 twitter followers—and it hasn't even served a single meal yet!
So we're gonna go out on a limb and say that the La Cense Burger Truck will be a hit with the Manhattan lunch crowd. No, they've got fresh 6-ounce burgers made from Montana-raised, 100-percent grass-fed Black Angus beef. Burgers are served on sesame buns, topped with caramelized onions, and cooked however you like 'em (no "we don’t do rare" here).
La Cense will be rolling through Midtown starting this weekend—find out where via their twitter page.
Related Stories:
· NYC Gets a Big Gay Ice Cream Truck [Jaunted]
· It's Taco Time: LA Gets Its First Gourmet Food Truck [Jaunted]
· NYC's Food Trucks All Converge in One Place This Weekend [Jaunted]

The team's ballpark just announced a new addition to their concession menu--The Fifth Third Burger, named after the ballpark's sponsor, the Fifth Third bank.
But don't think that's just an obligatory name for the burger. Oh no. It's also 5/3 pounds of beef with lettuce, tomato, salsa, sour cream, chili and Fritos packed inside.

The team says it feeds one to four people and sells for $20, and if a person finishes the Fifth Third Burger in one sitting, the team will offer up a Fifth Third Burger T-shirt.

And just in case you're on a diet or something, that burger has nearly 5,000 calories and 299 grams of fat. Omg. Whatever happened to "peanuts and crackerjacks"?
The West Michigan Whitecaps play their games in Comstock, Mich.. They begin playing ball on April 8 at home. Tickets start at $5 for lawn seats and $13 for premium seats.
