Leonardo DiCaprio and model girlfriend Bar Refaeli hunt for the suntan lotion on a beach in Cancun, Mexico over the weekend. Sadly, Leo appears to have packed that weird chin-beard he wears in his latest movie, Ridley Scott's "Body of Lies."

Back in December, trend-trackers predicted that travel to Central and South America would continue to rise in '08, and certainly many celebs have chosen to vacay in our neighbor to the south.

But given the economic climate, are people looking forward to any vacations in 2009? Forget "climate change" travel and learning-focused trips (two more trends predicted for this year); what's going to be the new hot trip? Taking one at all?

Doesn't she know there's trouble in them thar waves? Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli frolics in the waves on the Plage de Pampelonne at Saint-Tropez, blissfully unaware of the giant cloud of jellyfish south of the French Riviera.

Naomi Campbell, Penelope Cruz and Bono have also recently been spotted at the elite Club 55 resort where Refaeli is staying after shooting a cross-country road trip with Tommy Hilfiger. Two of those people look great in bikinis.

It's here! The 2008 SI Swimsuit Issue is out today, and as usual it's a globe-spanning affair. As rumored, Ana Beatriz Barros was photographed north of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Brooklyn Decker posed in Caesarea, Israel as did Bar Refaeli, who didn't end up on the cover. That honor went to Marisa Miller, snapped in St. John in the US Virgin Islands, as we reported.

We just found out Marisa Miller, Oluchi Onweagba and Melissa Baker will show up in the 2008 SI Swimsuit Issue. A reliable source tells us the women were photographed on St. John at the Caneel Bay resort. They'll join Bar Refaeli, Brooklyn Decker and Carmella Garcia in the issue, which comes out Tuesday.

Miller is rumored to be a cover girl, and this isn't the first time we've followed her globe trotting. She was on-board a Virgin America charter flight back in November ahead of the in-flight PJ party the airline threw.

As for the island of St. John, it's a great place for some passport-free travel. Access is by ferry from St. Thomas, which should warm you up for the tranquil pace of life on the island. Once you're there, it's all about exploring Virgin Islands National Park.

The 2008 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is due to hit newsstands on February 12, and we're hearing lots of rumors about the locations in the issue. Of course the feature destination isn't a secret anymore. Bar Refaeli, above, did a shoot in her native Israel and may even end up on the cover.

According to The Ledger of Lakeland, Florida, Carmella Garcia is one of four wives of pro athletes that will appear in the mag. (She's married to Tampa Bay QB Jeff Garcia.) We don't know for sure where she was photographed, but we doubt it was in her native Avon Lake, Ohio.

Brooklyn Decker will be in the issue, too, also not shot in her hometown (Charlotte, North Carolina). She's sprawled out on a sandy strand that we can't quite place yet. And unconfirmed rumors are swirling that photographers snapped Ana Beatriz Barros in Nicaragua.

Am I overdressed?

It's amazing that Sports Illustrated has managed to keep it's cover model and shooting locations secret, but a lack of facts didn't stop New York Post gossip queen/crazy lady Cindy Adams from speculating that the issue would feature Israel. The Ministry of Tourism, Adams says, sponsored a trip to the Holy Land for a photo shoot with native Israeli Bar Refaeli on the shores of the Dead Sea.

SI has confirmed that a crew was in Israel, but added that the tourism department didn't pay for anything. (Directly chipping in money would be a journalism no-no.) The ministry did something similar last year when it helped Maxim put together a "Women of the Israeli Defense Forces" spread.

Funny thing is, the country doesn't really need the free publicity. Riding the wave from its largest-ever advertising campaign, Israel set a new record for tourist arrivals in 2007, with more than 2 million visitors dropping by.
