Good places to keep in mind during your summer wanderings. By the way, our advice is to make time for that Tabasco factory tour only if you also want to see the gardens there -- the tour itself is lame.

Today's NY Times highlights some of the lesser known long-distance bike trips that have unique details like lodging in Rome, NY at Fort Stanwix, a Revolutionay War re-creation. Not to worry-things haven't changed too much, apparently the tour belts out "15 Miles on the Erie Canal" "several times during the week" according to the ride's organizer.
