When it comes to Christmas, is there ever a good time to cut your losses? Just days after he was accused of shoving a paparazzo in Australia, Ryan Phillippe was spotted at LAX with girlfriend Abbie Cornish on Christmas Eve, dispelling the rumors that he was set to spend the holiday eating turducken with her family.

The Sydney-to-LA flight is a great way to lose gain a day--the one you lose on the way there--which makes the couple's choice to fly over the run-up to Christmas somewhat puzzling. On the other hand, what a bad first impression! Maybe they'll send him a do-over for a belated Christmas present.

Meanwhile, Phillippe's ex Reese Witherspoon was spotted in Morocco--not in a bikini, but fully clothed and sharing a meal with long-haired Jaunted fave Jake Gyllenhaal. So which would you choose for your summer vacation this year: Vegas or North Africa?
