How to Get Last-Minute Tickets for the Packers and Saints' 'NFL Kickoff 2011'

After a long summer filled with uncertainty, it’s finally time to get ready for some football. NFL players and owners worked out their differences, and the 2011 season is ready to kickoff on September 8 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This year it’s the Super Bowl champions—the Packers—facing the Saints to get things started. The season’s first games run through the weekend, but most of the party is focused on that first Thursday night.
To celebrate the return of football the NFL is teaming up with EA Sports—makers of the Madden video game series—to welcome the season opener. The league’s 92nd season will begin with a little bit of music, as it was just announced that Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, and Maroon 5 will be on hand to get the party started. Things will all be taking place live outside of the Packers’ home at Lambeau Field, and things will be broadcast on NBC before the game starts just you can’t attend in person.

Training Camp Travel: Where to Watch the Packers Prep to Repeat as Champions

Are you ready for some football?! After a summer of bickering back and forth a deal was made to get the NFL back to business, and now we’re only a few weeks away from the first week of the season. We’re already planning our Sunday menus of overindulgence, but until then we can always start practicing our tailgating skills at training camp:
In case you missed it last year, the Green Bay Packers brought home the big prize after winning the Super Bowl. That means this year is all about trying their best to repeat as champions. We’re a little better at judging airlines than football teams, but even we think they’ve got a pretty good chance at two-in-a-row.
· When's Camp:
The Packers got busy as soon as the NFL Lockout was over, and things look to stay that way as practice runs through August 30. After that they’ll still be testing out new plays and working out all the kinks, but those practices are closed to the public. Most practices begin at 7pm, but if you’re looking for an excuse to cut out of work a little earlier there are a few that start right after lunch at 1pm. There’s usually something going on most days of the week, so check out the full schedule here and start planning your visit.

How and Where to Celebrate The Packers' Return Home to Green Bay

Now that the Super Bowl is over the real party begins, but unfortunately it’s only open to fans of the Green Bay Packers—sorry Steeler fans. The folks in Green Bay are a little more low key when it comes to celebrating—or just better behaved—so we haven’t heard of any flipped over cars or fires in the streets, but there is quite the celebration planned for later today.
The Green Bay Police Department must have known something that we didn’t, as they had the Packers parade route prepared before the weekend even began. The NFL champions will return to Austin Straubel airport later today, and the team will make their way to Lambeau Field to a very warm welcome home.

World's Biggest Waffle To Welcome Brett Favre Home

Well he finally decided to toss the pigskin around for one last season—we’ll see if one last season turns into more next year—and has led the Minnesota Vikings to an undefeated start. In about two weeks, Favre will return to Green Bay to play the team he led for many years, and the city’s citizens want to ensure that Favre has a warm welcome back home.
Mayor Jim Schmitt of Green Bay is asking for public suggestions for respectable ways to welcome Favre back to town. One of the best suggestions so far is to cook up a giant waffle in the shape of a number four—Favre’s uniform number. This will be a somewhat subtle dedication to the player’s reputation for indecision regarding his retirement.
