All Night Culture: Not Quite All Night in Dublin

They're putting on free buses and there'll be live performances on Temple Bar. And we're guessing plenty of Guinness to quench the thirst that comes from engaging with all that culture.
Related Stories:
· Dublin Culture Night [Official Site]
· White Night Travel: Madrid's La Noche en Blanco on Saturday [Jaunted]

Vacation Travel: Sarah Jessica Parker Leaves New York

Back in the '80s, he and then-girlfriend Jennifer "Baby" Grey were in a head-on collision on a county road outside Enniskillen, just two weeks before "Dirty Dancing" opened. Broderick spent weeks in the hospital but both women in the other car were killed instantly. The service is sponsored by advertising, and all Ecocabs are wrapped with can't miss ads.
Airport Hell: DUB Still Recoving from Radar Meltdown

Ireland's busiest airport is still recovering from a radar meltdown Wednesday that left hundreds of flights delayed or cancelled. Officials are still advising passengers to check with their airlines before even heading to Dublin Airport.
An Irish Aviation Authority spokeswoman says that while the radar problems that crippled the airport yesterday have been fixed, only about 70 percent of flights will be operating today:

It will be nothing like the extent of the problems that happened yesterday. But it is likely that there will be some delays, especially as the day goes on. A 20 minute delay in the morning might be a 40 minute or an hour's delay in the afternoon.

Aer Lingus is letting delayed passengers rebook without charge. For its part, Ryanair is calling for a government investigation into the radar failure and is asking its passengers to do the same. The LCC has even posted contact info for the IAA on its website.
Tongue Twister Town Names in Ireland

There's a hot destination in Ireland that we haven't been to yet, but want to check out: Dingle. Doesn't the name alone make you want to visit this town in County Kerry, in the pretty southwest corner of Ireland? A recent decision could've made it very hard to find Dingle, but there's been a change of heart.
You see, changes to Irish language laws meant that the anglicized name of Dingle should actually have been changed back to its original Irish name of An Daingean. But many locals were concerned that the good reputation Dingle has with tourists--they say because of the landscape, we say because it's a silly name--would be lost, and with it, much of the town's revenue.
So in the friendly spirit of the Irish they've made a compromise. The official name of the town is now Dingle Daingean Ui Chuis. Nice choice, guys. We can really see that fitting nicely on a map.
Related Stories:
· Irish Town Wins Battle [AFP]
· Ireland Travel coverage [Jaunted]

Blame it on a "technical error."
Unlike Malaysia Airlines, however, Aer Lingus won't honor the accidental tickets. At first, they just canceled the bookings altogether, but now they are offering the passengers economy class seats for the price they paid.
