Jaunted Reporting Live: How to Follow Our Adventures During the Boeing 787 First Delivery

Have you heard enough about Boeing's new 787 Dreamliner? Hopefully not, because the fancy schmancy new airplane hasn't even been delivered to its first airline yet. That is, until this upcoming Monday it hasn't.
That's right—Monday marks the official delivery of the 787 to All Nippon Airways, an international airline based in Japan and an airline champing at the bit with excitement over the occasion. They'll get the keys to the bird, itself sporting some pretty flashy new livery—check out a rendering of that here. Needless to say, this whole event is a huge deal for travel, aviation, business, technology and the good ol' US of A, and we'll be there for it all.
Landing in Seattle bright and early Sunday morning (after some 20-ish hours of flying from Southeast Asia), we'll be sharing our experiences at Boeing facilities, on the tarmac and in the briefing rooms as much as humanly (and technically) possible. Here's how to follow along for all our hot and bothered 787 excitement:

Seattle's Space Needle Wants to Send You to...Umm...Space

We've spent the last few years tracking how private space tourism is becoming a capital-T Thing—and of course now that the space shuttle program is dead, private space flight is for better or worse the only game in town.
You might also remember a post from last year about commercial space travel company Space Adventures, which inked a deal with Boeing for vehicles that could be shot into low-earth orbit. We speculated at the time that the world was still many years from regular launches, both because it takes time to build spaceships and because we still don't really have the infrastructure to launch them.
All of that aside, we're certainly getting closer. There are now contests springing up promising to send lucky winners into space, with the latest coming from the team behind the Seattle Space Needle. The iconic tourist attraction was built for the 1962 World's Fair and, as its 50th anniversary celebration approaches, organizers want to recapture some of that futuristic magic.

As the giant planes ever so slowly inched along on their assembly lines, we learned that although Boeing is only turning out 5 777s monthly right now, the plan is to increase productivity to 8.3 a month by 2013, for a grand total of 100 a year.
And then we were off to visit the big guns: the 787 Dreamliner and Air NZ's new baby, a shiny 777-300ER.
