We May Never Again Be Graced With 'Hooters Air'

Back in the day (meaning a few years ago), Pace Airlines was the charter company behind the brand Hooters Air. Despite America’s love for short shorts, the scantily clad airline folded and Pace went back to what it did best—chartering flights for rich people and sports teams. However, things aren’t going as well as they once were, and now Pace Airlines is in some hot water.

The airline has been struggling as it’s been losing contracts, and it doesn’t help that the CEO is facing a felony charge because apparently he wasn’t making payments to his employee’s group health insurance. As of last week, coverage for over 300 workers was dropped, because that’s what happens when you don’t pay the bills. The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is now after the airline as they’ve filed a lawsuit against Pace on behalf of a flight attendant who is claiming discrimination in the airline’s promotion practices. When it's not one thing it's another.

Dude, We Disapprove of Dell

So we may have helped hasten Dell's decision to lay off workers at its Winston-Salem plant by not replacing the one Dell product we owned. (Sweet Digital Jukebox, dead before your time!) Round Rock, Texas and Limerick, Ireland will also see job cuts in the tech giant's struggle to contain losses. Then again, the Dell spokesdude is now a New York City waiter, so he probably doesn't have much sympathy. But we've got enough for him, so cut those wires and fly free.

The Hooters John Daly Went To Early Sunday Night

PGA veteran John Daly made Hooters of Winston-Salem his final stop of the evening on October 26. At least, it became his last stop when cops showed up to haul him off to the drunk tank.

The husky golfer reportedly wouldn't leave when workers at the delightfully tacky joint told him to take off around 1 am. Says the Winston-Salem Journal:

Daly ... had been traveling in his tour bus and told police that the other people on the bus did not want him to get back in it. Hooters was closing, so [police] officers decided to use a state law that allows them, in some cases, to take someone to jail to be held overnight to sober up ... Daly was later released.

At least he didn't start a fight at a Waffle House.
