Newlyweds Eva Longoria and Tony Parker may be battling rumors that he had an affair with French model Alexandra Parassant (the catwalker claims she hooked up with the NBA star just after the wedding), but the couple was all cuddles and interlaced fingers as they disembarked from their late night flight into Terminal 1 at San Antonio International Airport.

Now we're not saying that the Spurs baller and the Desperate Housewife were putting on an act for the cameras, but when was the last time you felt like getting frisky with your boo as you waited for your luggage to drop in baggage claim? More likely, the pair is maintaining their so-called united front, with Longoria standing by her man as he gets slung through the mud. Maybe not the best time to wear white.

It's been a tough six months for the Museo Alameda, which opened in San Antonio this spring. After a weak opening exhibition featuring items culled from other Smithsonian Institution museums, the Alameda has had trouble drawing visitors. Fewer than 100,000 people have stopped in though museum officials predicted 400,000 within the first year.

High ticket prices are to blame, say administrators. But the museum just got some controversial funding from the San Antonio City Council to reduce admission to $4 for adults. If a capital campaign is successful, the Alameda could go free--which would put it in line with the Smithsonian facilities in Washington, DC.

So what else is there to see at the Alameda besides of all this drama? A video and photography exhibition chronicles the achievements of Cuban-American salsa goddess Celia Cruz until April 2008. In the upstairs galleries, a collection of Guatemalan textiles--called huipiles--will be on view until January. And the amazing botanica/gift shop (above) is still the place for South Texas tchotchkes.

Austin is "weird," but San Antonio is "strange." Big difference there, so you better get it right. After yesterday's life-altering picture of a flying Chihuahua, we stumbled upon Strange In San Antonio, a blog dedicated to documenting all the "odd things that happen in the Alamo City." As you might expect, the Chihuahua is hot news right now.

Additional non-Chihuahua coverage includes news of Santeria pigeon sacrifices, weird weather, and attractions such as the Toilet Seat Museum (pictured above). Quite a bit of the news comes from one local paper, but it seems enough strange stuff happens in San Antonio to keep it interesting.

Caution! Airborne canine! A couple of enterprising parade-goers at this year's Fiesta San Antonio Pooch Parade decided to make their own float... with several balloons and tiny harnesses. It's safe to say, of the approximately 750 dogs who marched in the parade, these probably had the best view.

Sure, that dog doesn't look like it's having a good time at the city's annual celebration of the Battle of San Jacinto and the torching of the Alamo, but maybe that's because it hasn't had the chance to kick back on the Riverwalk and drink a margarita yet.

This Smithsonian project is off the Mall -- way off. When it opened on Friday with fireworks and a Linda Rondstadt concert (she's part Mexican!), San Antonio's Museo Alameda automatically became the country's biggest museum of Latino culture. Topped off with exhibits about Panamanian nail salons and jewelry from a Hapsburg emperor of Mexico, the $15 million museum even has a Spanish nickname -- MAS, for Museo Alameda Smithsonian. ("Mas" means "more" in Spanish, gringo.)

The museum will eventually also have a live entertainment venue in the renovated and reborn Teatro Alameda, according to the L.A. Times.
