Miley's actual birthday is November 23, but ET says the party is scheduled for October 5.
Related Stories:
· Miley Cyrus' Sweet 16 at Disneyland [ET]
· Miley Cyrus Selling $250 Tickets to Her Sweet 16 [US Weekly]
· Miley Cyrus coverage [Jaunted]

One Track Travel: Take a Spin on Mickey's New Ride

After months of delays and countless modifications, the latest version of the Disneyland Monorail is set to take guests for a ride.
Constructed away from the Disneyland Resort, the monorail was doomed on arrival. It seemed that there was some miscommunication between two sets of engineers, as the train didn't fit too well on the track. Then there were scratches, screeches and no air conditioning--not exactly a welcome addition in Southern California. But now it's ready for action.
The "soft opening" began last week, which means you usually have to be in the right place at the right time to take a ride on this retro-inspired beauty. However, if you do get a chance to see it in action, ask to take a ride in the front where you can hit up the pilot for the answers to all your monorailing questions.
Related Stories:
·Disneyland Monorail Red Debuts Tonight [LAT]
·Disney coverage [Jaunted]

Disneyland's "Small World" Ride to Get Some Changes

The folks over at Disney are going to be tinkering with the original Small World ride at Disneyland and that has some Disney fans pissed.
Disneyland is going to alter the ride, which was created by Mary Blair in 1964, to incorporate stylized Disney characters like Alice in Wonderland and Lilo and Stich. Yeah, we know. Blasphemy
The family of Blair penned an open letter to Disney execs criticizing their decision to alter the 14-minute ride. And more Disney fans have been hitting the blogs protesting the renovation. But the Disney execs have struck back too, saying that Walt Disney never meant for his theme park rides to remain static. It gets a little confusing to follow, but the Daily Travel & Deal blog is chronicling every step of the fight.
Even TMZ is jumping on the bandwagon saying that Disney is only changing the ride because too many fat people are on it, causing the ride to get stuck and thus having passengers escorted to dry land. This could possibly be true, but it was on TMZ.
Related Stories:
· Disney Fires Another Salvo at Small World Fans [LAT]
· Theme Parks coverage [Jaunted]

Adult Love at Disneyland

At least two adult celebrity couples spent Valentine's Day at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Christina Aguilera and her husband visited the park on Wednesday, as did Christina's fellow pop tart Mandy Moore and her new boyfriend, DJ A.M. All paparazzi pictures making the rounds indicate that Christina kept the PDA pretty PG while among the kiddies. As for Mandy, well, she did too...but what else would you expect from the girl who was marketed as a squeaky-clean alternative to Christina and Britney?

We have no way of knowing if the girls were paid to make their appearances, but the sightings still bring up a valid point. The social acceptability ranking of a theme park date has been on the ups for a while now. The couples mentioned above are L.A.-based, as far as we know, and Anaheim is indeed a doable day trip from the city--the drive's about 35 miles.

But can you make a whole clandestine weekend out of it? Sure. Couples interested in maintaining their privacy--and their dignity--on a dedicated Disney holiday can fly into John Wayne Airport and make a beeline for Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. It's the park hotel most likely to please the old folk, which might not be saying a whole lot...but at least there's a Mandara spa!

Knott's Berry Farm is a big-time amusement park located in Orange County. While we would never consider going to this attraction unless we were saddled with some whining kids that we needed to shut up, their annual "Scary Farm" is worth a stop.
This isn't some old haunted house with twisty mirrors and a few skeletons popping out of a coffin. No, this place is a "160-acre living horror movie" designed by professional "scare-masters" for you to enter and hopefully find your way out of. New this year is The Grudge 2 maze (another way for the movie to cross-promote itself):

Pass through the threshold of the house that is determined to possess any soul that enters. What horrific crimes have been committed here that would give rise to such a grudge? Visitors to this dwelling of the damned will come face to face with the tortured spirits and will find themselves, much like characters in the movie, fighting for both their sanity and their lives!

Some other mazes are Lost Vegas in 3-D, The Asylum and Hatchet High, all with familiar elements found in your favorite horror movies.
For those a little too scared to check out these Haunt mazes, you can catch the Haunt Shows like "Dead Idol" where deceased rock n' roll legends perform again "live," or the "Haunted Hypnochick" who performs hypnosis, or walk through four of the Scary Zones like Ghost Town or Silver Bullet Mine Town which are probably less scary than a maze and probably have a few more exits when you need them.
Open from Wednesdays through Sundays starting at 7pm, now through Halloween.

Upon finding it, things only got worse for Tweety:

"At the end of the day, this dumb woman was so glad to see her little canary she took it out of the cage, and it went right into the trees of the Jungle Cruise," McFaul says.
