You can expect twists and turns around every corner, so it might be a little difficult to keep your eyes on the holiday decorations on the ground below. The track even has its own roll to simulate weightless as the coaster reaches a top speed of around 70mph. In total the Hulk throws its victims as high as 150-feet into the air, and with a total ride time of over two minutes, the seven inversions and two dips beneath the sidewalk don’t seem to pass quickly enough.
When you finally make it back to the ground there’s always the option to stumble over to Seuss Landing to experience Grinchmas. The always popular How The Grinch Stole Christmas is transformed into a little musical number complete with a whole chorus of Whoville residents singing backup. If you want something more traditional, there’s always the recreation of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade at Universal Studios next door. The big balloons are the stars of the show here, and Mannheim Steamroller is even around to sing a carol or two on December 4, 11, and 18.
The holiday season starts this weekend, but the decorations head back into the attic beginning on the first day of 2011. All the holiday hoopla is included with your regular admission, so you don’t have to worry about getting one less present for little Johnny in order to experience your very first Grinchmas. Online tickets start at $82, but for $112 you can have access to both parks for the whole day. Better deals are available if you plan to stick around for a few days, so you might want to linger here instead of the mall.
