Even if the ride is scary enough on its own, Knott’s Scary Farm will take things to the next level. This year, scare zones, shows, and haunted mazes transform the park into something a little more intense than a park filled with snow cones and cotton candy. There’s lots of returning favorites, but one new addition is the Fallout Shelter. No witches or werewolves here, but there are toxic mutants, genetic hybrids, and nuclear freaks trying to make their way from cement bunker all in 3-D.
Things run Wednesday through Sunday through Halloween, and the park is open until 2am on Saturday and Sunday so that you can get more than your fill of the scary stuff. Tickets can be had for as little as $33 if you order ahead of time, but if your roll up in your hearse on the day you want to visit it will set you back $56—so plan ahead.
