Your goal is to escape from the tomb, or run the risk of being trapped inside for eternity. We certainly are fans of the ride, but since we don’t know how to read hieroglyphics we’re eager to make it out alive. In total darkness the coaster hits speeds of up to 45 mph, but as soon as you think things have settled down entire rooms are engulfed in flames. As with any great ride, there’s just enough time to catch you breath before the next surprise.
Things get even scarier this month as the park transforms itself for Halloween Horror Nights. The ride is open every single day, as there’s no need to slow things down for the season in sunny Florida. However, the spooky stuff only runs through the end of the month, so now’s the time to visit. Access to the additional fun and fear costs another $65 per person on top of normal admission costs over the weekend, so it’s certainly not cheap. That’s why we suggest skipping out of work early and visiting during the week, when the Halloween extra just costs an additional $35 per person.
