Chasing Vancouver: Pierce Brosnan Lurks in Gastown

Marriage, some sort of drama where an adulterous man plots his wife's death instead of putting her through the humiliation of a divorce, is currently filming in Vancouver and a Jaunted tipster let's us in on the current filming location:

They are currently (as in right this minute--ed. note--8.8.2006 8pm EST--) shooting a scene for the upcoming film Marriage at 225 Carrall St. in Gastown.  The shop has been transformed to a 1940's camera store. My friend Eric managed to snap these shots of Pierce Brosnan as he prepared for his scene.

This tipster has the photos to prove it after the break.

No word on whether or not Rachel McAdams will be playing the classically graying Brosnan's wife in the film, but if so, only Hollywood, or maybe in Gastown could that May-December romance be believable.

Chasing Vancouver: Kristen Davis Leads Vancouver Book Brigade

The ladies were out and about over the weekend, shopping, wearing cute outfits, lunching with girlfriends; everything you'd expect from women with easy jobs and disposable income. Kristin Davis dragged Kristin Chenoweth out to a favorite Vancouver bookstore, while Rachel McAdams hit up one of the coolest neighborhoods for lunch (and no, she didn't take the bus). Once again, the action was all focused in and around the West End - the celebs are only taking baby steps outside their comfort zone. Where else should they go Vancouverites? Let us know. The Kristins bought books at Chapters, a favorite in Vancouver and Toronto. A Jaunted tipster reports:

Kristin Davis has been spotted at least a few times a week at Chapters (on Robson and Howe) buying books. On a few occasions earlier in July, she's come in with Kristin Chenoweth. I've seen her there myself but staff say that she's been there quite a bit.

Kristin Davis is quickly becoming the queen bee of spotted celebrities, between this and drinks at Elixir with Matthew Perry. Rachel McAdams, that wacky girl, ventured even further into Kitsilano, an artsy neighborhood known for good food and boutiques. She's a modern-day lady who lunches. With any luck, the girls will all get together and throw martinis in each others faces any day now.

After all the rampant wholesomeness of the past week, things are getting downright sinful in Vancouver. Danny DeVito and Mark Wahlberg committed gluttony, Kristin Davis and Matthew Perry got lustful, and Jean-Claude Van Damme - actually, crazy isn't technically a sin, is it? However we are faitly certain karaoke is a sin. The Vancouverite also came across a huge cache of celebrities-in-Vancouver gossip, proving you can take them out of Hollywood...you know the rest.

Chasing Vancouver: Jessica Alba Shows Off Her Sex Hair

Hollywood North seems like it's already in full swing, but it's really just gearing up. So far the stahs have been pretty wholesome; the naughtiest sighting so far has been Jessica Alba wearing too much makeup by the pool at the Four Seasons. Oh, wait, and then of course there is the fact that Vancouverites have caught JA walking around town with sex hair and being a touch unfriendly. Our first Chasing Vancouver tipster tells us:

Over the weekend i shared a flight with jessica alba (2 rows away) and her entourage (film ppl, body double/friend? - the one wearing boy beater here) on a small westjet plane from vancouver to edmonton (jul 30)

she wore a large cap, tank top and didnt wanna talk to no one

i tried to go talk to her at luggage pickup but her big bodyguard wouldnt have it

her skin looked horrible, she looked skinnier than usual

way to go friendly, she coulda said hi or something, oh well

This Chasing episode also has scenes from the Vancouver botanical gardens, the Sutton Place Hotel, and historic Gastown. Oh, and most importantly, we have had our first Ian McShane sighting, and he was apparently unarmed!

Introducing Jaunted's Chasing Vancouver

It is time for us to hit the road and bring our perverse travelling maptastic to Vancouver. Yup, welcome to Chasing Vancouver, our latest Chasing installment.

Turns out Toronto was so cool during the Chasing Natalie series back in April - June we decided our next stop would be Vansterdam. What? You thought we would be heading to Saskatoon?

So for the next couple of months, right before your very web eyes, this Chasing Vancouver map will become illuminated with hot points thrice weekly--many sent in by you. You know the drill, with your help, we chase around Hollywood A-listers, grips, PAs, and anyone with any vague sense of self importance, to plot some of the must hit and must miss Vancouver locations. We do all this because we are curious to see what sort of tasty, well cooked, "Travel Guide to Vancouver" we will be left with at the end of the series.

For those of you on the ground in North Van, you have an important role in all of this--you make this work. How? You help us keep track of local sightings, filming locations, cool photos, wanderings, and any Vancouver places we should know, and send this fodder over to us at tips@jaunted.com. We thrive on your tips, and no pressure, but the folks in Toronto kicked some serious ass at this a couple months back.

Dane Cook, Halle Berry, David Duchovny, Rachel McAdams, Benico Del Toro, Renee Zellweger and Andy Samberg are all slated to be shooting features in Hollywood North over the next couple of months.

Oh, and yes, and it just so happens that someone named Jessica Alba is filming not one, but two movies up north during our chase. So yeah, of course we have wanted JA to "render us useless" since Cameron cast her in Dark Angel, but who hasn't, plus we are so past that--we are all about the music man, don't ever forget about the music.
