Jaunted Parking Guide to Los Angeles: Keep the Tips A-Coming

January 10, 2007 at 12:15 PM | by juliana | 2 Comments

A while back Hertz banned us from renting their cars because of excessive parking tickets, no joke. We are fighting back by trying to help give visitors a clear view of the entire parking scene in a particular locale. We have put together our guide to parking in LA, and an accompanying map. On the map, we have plotted six LA public parking spots where we have had the most luck. Send along LA parking tips, tricks, and advice and comment here so other folks don't rack up steep parking fines, or worse yet, get towed.

It's been a few weeks since we unleashed the first-ever Jaunted Parking Guide for Los Angeles. And in that time, we've received plenty of tips about where to park in this sprawling city. But we're sure you readers out there have a few more tricks up your sleeve. So if you've recently had a run-in with a West Coast parking wench or you managed to talk your way out of a ticket or if you've found a great, secret parking space let us know. In the meantime, avoid the parking lot across from Holly's in Hollywood on Wilcox as they are charging $20 for you to park your own car.

Parking in LA - bad, but NYC is worse

This LA parking guide is really interesting to me. There is nothing worse than coming back to your car and finding that parking ticket or worse, your car towed. While LA sounds pretty bad, NYC parking is worse. Most parking tickets in NYC cost you $115 and a tow will cost you $300. Street parking seems to be a high commodity in both cities, that's why we started our parking search engine at http://www.WhereToFindParking.com
With our service, drivers can search by date and time to see all the street parking regulations and find out which streets are legal.

I like the map function here at Juanted. Our belief is that information is power and that with a little planning ahead, it's almost always possible to find street parking, even in big cities like NYC or LA. We also offer parking garages in our searches for those rare times when you just can't find street parking. By checking out a few of these ahead of time, it's possible to save big bucks, because a garage just a few blocks away might be less than half the price.

I know this works in NYC, so the same must be true in LA.

    airport parking

I never used an airport parking in US but I did in UK and if you want peace of mind you better use online booking (I used Manchester airport parking and I never had a problem).
