Chasing Natalie Recap

Where in the world is our precious starlet, Natalie Portman? OK, so we know the answer to that one: Toronto. In fact, we know pretty well, thanks to your tips--don't hesitate to send us more so we can continue to get our Natalie fix--that she's been haunting both high and low places.

Natalie's comfortably ensconced in the Toronto Four Seasons. Oh, and not just her; she's there with her little dog too. It's possible that the dog has his own room at the Four Seasons, or maybe his own trailer at Cinespace studios. It is also possible that this dog belongs to Jason Bateman. Yeah, that guy--don't ask. Most of this is pure conjecture on our part, though it looks like he wouldn't need a very big trailer, at least. The dog that is, Jason Bateman probably demands a huge trailer.

As fancy as Natalie's digs may be, she's still not eating as healthily as we'd like. Natalie, we received word that you were eating at Mr. Tasty's Drive-In at 2am last week. We thought you were one of the world's sexiest vegetarians. You're going to give the make-up people hell if you continue eating there--it sounds like, uh, something that we'd do.

Toronto rocks! You have overwhelmed us with sightings, tips, and hilarious stories about your town, so let's keep that mojo working, eh?

There is plenty going on in Toronto right now, as far as Hollywood productions go. Aside from our myriad Natalie spottings, we have also received word that Shoot 'Em Up, starring Clive Owen, Paul Giamatti, the delectable Monica Bellucci and Chris Jericho is also filming in the TO.

Meanwhile, today's edition of Chasing Natalie includes six new locations, including, but not limited to: Paul Giamatti at a Jays game, Dustin Hoffman shopping for clothes, the legend of the Yorkville Starbucks, a random girl who claims she "muckled" Clive Owen, and Natalie, at all hours of the day and night.

As for your tips, please keep sightings, and information current--let's say the last seven days. Sound good? Well it look's like a lot more is going on in Toronto than the filming of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. A recent bevy of tax credits have film makers rushing across the border to make their movies for .78 cents on the dollar in TO.

To wit, we have received a bunch of Toronto celeb sightings, instead of just Mr. Magorium's film locations and cast destinations. Today's Chasing Natalie update brings word of Jason Bateman (Arrested Development, RIP) watching the Raptors, Dustin Hoffman eating at Sassafraz, Marky Mark's brother watching the Raptors, (not with Jason Bateman, sadly) and our sweet, sweet Natalie saving a puppy.

Oh, before you go all Anakin Skywalker on us, this map is not updated in real-time via satellite relay. Not even close. Using a crack team of trained hedgehogs scouring the web for info, we update it with celeb sightings from Toronto's many hot spots, using Donnie Wahlberg as our barometer. So Padme is safe.

Natalie Portman is currently in Yorkville in Toronto filming her new movie Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, with Dustin Hoffman.

The folks on the IMDb message boards are doing an excellent job following the cast and crew around town, and we figured, why not put all the locations, sightings, and paparazzi shots together in a Google map for y'all.

That way you will not only be able to chase Natalie around Toronto, but we will also be left with a nice little "A-Lister's Travel Guide to Toronto" as we follow the cast and crew around town during their filming, plotting where they eat, drink, sleep, shop, and play.

Oh, and yes, we are secretly hoping Natalie Portman goes all George Clooney on us. We have wanted Natalie to "render us useless" since we sat down and watched "Beautiful Girls" Closer.
