The Naked Oyster has it all stocked on ice, from littleneck clams to steamed shrimp to lobster. But you're here for the best bivalves on the Cape; they come from East Dennis Oyster Farms just down the road. These bad boys are plucked out of the bay a stone's throw from where you're sucking 'em down. You'd have to eat underwater to find fresher.
The decor is just what you'd expect from a bistro. Hanging just above the bar are locally crafted, fluted light fixtures that resemble the shells you're cleaning out. And there are plenty of brews on tap to match the food. If sitting at the bar's not your thing, not too worry: The full raw bar menu, from single shrimp to the go-all-out seafood tower are available at tables, too.
Getting There:
The Oyster is basically next door to Barnstable Municipal Airport, which serves the Cape, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. If that's too blue-blooded for you, Logan International in Boston is the ticket.
