Could This Be NYC's Best Irish Pub, Part II

Truth be told, Coliseum looks to have nothing going for it. The lighting's weird and the food isn't that great. Aside from this astoundingly positive review, you won't find much about the place anywhere on the interwebs. But this pub--across the street from the Time Warner Center--is a shy one, and given enough time, she might win you over.
First things first: you'll find a good pint and if a football soccer game is on, you'll be watching it. You won't find Big Buck Hunter or beat-the-clock pitcher specials, so you know the crowd is serious about drinking--a major plus for a best pub contender. And you'll likely need to bring your drinking A-game: Coliseum is the after-work watering hole for the booze hounds who work across the street at Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery.
But what's with the scaffolding in the photo? That's a sign of perhaps Coliseum's best attribute. It's next door to Jason Pomeranc's perennially delayed Six Columbus hotel. Might want to order another round while you wait.
