Knott's takes pride its in Halloween theme as it claims to be both the world's largest and world's first park to celebrate the holiday with special attractions. Apparently they do a pretty good job, as the park was awarded Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Award for the seasonal event. Your regular daily entrance ticket isn't going to cut it, though: Rates for the Scary Farm start at about $48 if you order online.
The must see maze for this year is The Slaughterhouse. Apparently, things have gotten a little awkward between Farmer Willy and his guests, and there's a couple special menu items cookin' on the BBQ. Do your best to watch out for the chainsaws or you'll find yourself on the dinner menu.
Then try your best to make it through areas like The Gauntlet, where you'll navigate through an area hit with the plague. Just watch out for the peasants--the rats have already begun to enjoy a snack.
The park's midway is changed into a Carnevil where you'll witness bizarre sideshows and less-than-friendly clowns.
Finally, there will be plenty of magic and pyrotechnics shows. There'll even be a show where the Hyponochick will trick your friends and enemies into performing truly embarrassing acts in front of the crowd. Just remember to pace yourself, as the party carries on until 2 am on weekends.
