Remember to zoom in, out, and around on the map - with so much happening in each episode, it's easy to miss a map point.

This is a busy one, kids, so let's get going! Perhaps in a nod to last week's cast-offs, David and Mary, CBS thoughtfully intros this week's AMAZING RACE with a 60 MINUTES expose on the dangers of coal mining. Remember last time when Rosie gave them a house?! Only eight teams remain in Southern Chile. Who has the endurance, smarts and awesome grooming required to make it to the end? Who will be eliminated next? LET'S GO!.

Back at Playa Petrohue, the Rob and Amber show is raring to go, and they are first out of the gate. Teams must fly to Punta Arenas, Chile, and find Lord Lonsdale's shipwreck, where they will find their next clue. Uchenna and Joyce are off second, with Eric and Danielle a close third. Eric confesses that he treats her pretty much like a guy (well, duh!), except she has, "nicer boobs." Classy. The teams depart in a CBS edited blur, where Danny outs both Oswald and Kandice as a big snorers, and Mirna shares with us that she has to work harder than most people on the race to compensate for any shortcomings on her team. Wait a minute, Tivo, back that up. Did she just say that about her little person teammate? Yeah, she did.

With the first five teams confirmed on the first flight out to Punta Arenas, Rob and Amber do some research using the internet. You just know he had some time for a round of internet poker, but we digress. Over at the gate, Teri and Ian coax the agent into triple-checking the flight's status, and finally are issued boarding passes, leaving only two teams on the second flight. Joe and Bill try to no avail to get seats on the earlier flight, even attempting bribery. In the end, they use their sparking interpersonal skills to get information on the shipwreck, and don't share it with Charla and Mirna. Clearly, there is no love lost between these two teams.

On board the first flight, we find that one of the flight attendants is leaking valuable information that is intercepted by Rob and Amber. Did Joyce and Uchenna forget how Rob and Amber play this game? Once the teams reach the shipwreck, this leg's Detour is revealed: Navigate It or Sign It. Navigate It requires teams to use a map to find the town center, where they will find a sailor. The sailor will hand them an old school navigational compass which they will use to find due South. Teams will go South until they reach the Nautilus Building, where they will receive their next clue. Sign It requires teams to create a traditional local signpost listing in correct order, the ports of call on Magellan's fabled voyage. Oh, and the names must be spelled correctly in order to receive the next clue. I can immediately think of several teams who should not even attempt this Detour...like eight of them.

Rob and Amber are off to a strong start with Sign It. Almost everything is correct except the spelling of Philippines. Joyce and Uchenna struggle with both sequence and spelling. In the end, both teams abandon Sign It and head off to Navigate It. Meanwhile, leave it to Eric (and Danielle) to find the sailor, which they do in record time with Danny and Oswald right on their heels (Hey, sailor!). Inconceivably, Teri and Ian find themselves in third place, while Dustin and Kandice also bail on Sign It and head into town, leaving Charla and Mirna to stage an increasingly dramatic scene while attempting to assemble the sign. With all the subtlety of screech owls, they bicker it out while dumping building supplies left and right. Finally, they too abandon ship and head off to find the sailor downtown.

Having completed the Detour, teams must now travel to Playa Larga where they must find Bahia Lapataia, and take a boat to Isla Redonda, on the southernmost tip of South America. There, they will find a small post office and get their next clue, which is a Roadblock requiring a team member to sort through 1600 envelopes and find one of two that are addressed to their team. The letters are from team members from their original seasons of AMAZING RACE.

The Pit Stop: Mastil de Belgrano
First Place: Danny and Oswald, who win a trip to fabulous Maui.
Second Place: Eric and Danielle
Third Place: Teri and Ian

Charla and Mirna huff and puff their way to the mat, where they get a rousing "Don't Give Up" speech from Uchenna. In a stunning upset, Rob and Amber finish last and are eliminated. Rob laments the game being over, but Amber says it's appropriate to end their race at the end of the world. Well, Rob and Amber, there's always professional poker. And Survivor All-Star All-Stars.

Next Week: Tensions spark between Team Guido and Eric, who are all wearing super-tight t-shirts and shouldn't be, and teams start freaking out about working with a rat...a real one...not Rob.
