Chasing Racers is back, with a brand new Amazing Race 13 mashup. This map will update the morning after every new episode. Send along tips, rumors, gossip, locations and spoilers to our map editors, become a member and comment on the stories below and add to the Jaunted-Flickr photo pool to get in on the fray.

Remember to zoom in, out and around on the map--with so much happening in each episode, it's easy to miss a map point.

It's the finale, and we have to look back. Eleven teams set out from Los Angeles, California, in a race of nearly 40,000 miles and across five continents that took 23 days to complete. Teams experienced highs and lows, and 16 racers fell to the wayside. Ken and Tina came on the race with hopes of repairing their seriously broken-down marriage. Over the course of the race, they rediscovered each other--and we found out how nag-tastic Tina really is and what a whipping boy Ken has become. Not pretty!

Andrew and Dan have bumbled their way through the race, and with a lot of luck and tenacity, they've found themselves, almost accidentally, in the final three. Meanwhile, Nick and Starr have been the model of consistency, winning six first-place finishes. When the pressure is on, will Nick's calming influence be enough to keep them on track? Will Ken and Tina power through to a first place finish or will Andrew and Dan beat all the odds and win The Amazing Race? Which team will win lucky season 13, and $1 million?!

LET'S FIND OUT!

more ›

THE RACE:
Teams must travel more than 5,000 miles to Portland, Oregon and make their way to the Tilikum Retreat Center to find their next clue. Nick and Starr are first out of the gate in Moscow, and make it quickly to the airport. All teams end up booking the Lufthansa flight via Frankfort to Portland. Nick and Starr use their extra time in the Moscow airport to do some research on their next stop on the interwebs, while Andrew and Dan just fart around and waste time--surprise!

DETOUR:
After a long-ass flight, teams must choose between two tasks that highlight Oregon's most dangerous business: Logging. In High and Dry, teams must climb thirty feet up a tree, traverse a forty foot log and then leap off of it to grab one half of the next clue. In Low and Wet, teams must traverse 850 feet across logs in water to reach the clue box.

Ken and Tina are first to the Detour and choose High and Dry. Ken makes it through the challenge, and Tina has to deal with a few of her issues with heights. Nick and Starr arrive and really put on the pressure. Both Nick and Starr fly through the challenge like monkeys.

Teams must now travel by taxi to the Bridge of the Gods. Once there, they will take a 2,000-foot zip line to an island to receive their next clue. Ken and Tina arrive first, with Nick and Starr right behind them.

Teams must now use the power of memory to answer questions about each leg of the race. Working together, in numerical order, they must match route info, detour, roadblock and pit stop photos with the corresponding leg number. There are 150 clue boxes to search, and teams must play this like a giant game of concentration. With all those clue boxes, it looks like The Amazing Race version of the Arlington Cemetery. Which team will end up buried here? Well, it won't be Nick and Starr who come from behind and finish before Ken and Tina.

Teams must now travel by taxi to downtown Portland and find the Portland Building. Once there, they must search the area of a green dinosaur in order to find their next clue. It's of course a crazy aggressive taxi ride to downtown. Nick and Starr find the dinosaur first, with Ken and Tina just moments behind them.

Now, they must travel on foot to Alder Street and find find the Russian food cart for their next clue. Nick and Starr get their first and find that they must get to Voodoo Doughnut. Ken and Tina arrive a few moments later and are hot on their tracks. The final clue directs teams to their last Pit Stop, Pittock Mansion, the finish line for this season.

PIT STOP:
It's a nail-biting finish with all the requisite taxi drama. In the end, Nick and Starr make an unprecedented seventh first place finish and win the $1 million prize. Ken and Tina end up in second, with Andrew and Dan in third. It's a tear-filled finale with Ken and Tina putting on their long-abandoned wedding rings. How long will it last? Sadly, Toni and Dallas were not present at the finish line, presumably because they were not allowed out of Russia without their passports.

OUSTED:

What A Finale!

Congrats to Nick & Starr!! So happy they won! I have to say they were one of the best teams to ever go on The Race. They never bought into the ridiculous drama that inevitably some teams try to drag the others into and, let's face it, were truly Amazing Racers! Jeers to Ken & Tina for their ridiculously tear-filled, Emmy-hopeful'd reunion. Their attempt to steal Nick & Starr's thunder won't win them the award, just a trip to the Dr. Phil set. How's that working for you?? Kudos to the writers of the Amazing Race recap here on Jaunted! The superb writing and stellar humor make it the perfect companion to The Race. Can't wait to continue reading in February! Thank you!!

Team Jaunted

Nick and Starr dominated. @WitchyPoo thanks for tuning in...the Jaunted recappers will return in February. Here is an idea -- I think Todd and Jeff should apply to actually race! Team Jaunted? C'mon, they would win going away don't you think?

Do it!

I think Team Jaunted would be awesome! Actually, I'd like to see them tag along and just do commentary during the legs. Their humor translates well to paper, so I can only imagine how it is in person! Perhaps they could then join Mr. Keoghan on the mat as Jaunted Travel Ambassadors to The Amazing Race!

A well-deserved win

for team Spangler. And a great fakeout by Playbill.com which ran an announcement about the team being in the finale (because Nick is an actor) that seemed to suggest he was back to acting and had lost. Tricky, tricky! That said, I would never have won this leg because I haaaate heights. Hopefully Team Jaunted doesn't feel like I do when they go to compete!

Team Jaunted

Well, Jeff's good with the extreme heights...and I can plow through airports and catch connecting flights faster than most, so I think we should do it. The next time they post an audition notice down here, we're applying...and we'll take pics and report on it, of course! Now we just need cool Jaunted t-shirts...

Nick Spangler's NYTimes today

Check this out:
NY Times article about Nick off-Broadway

Ummm...he's straight?!

"Add the fact that I have a girlfriend who I wish to make MORE than my girlfriend, so I'm fully aware that I need to be smart with my money. She's just one of those gals who REALLY deserves more than I can give."

That's what she said...

That's What He Said

You don't believe Nick has a girlfriend?? C'mon ~ you know ~ his name is George Glass. Jan Brady is NOT a happy camper!

@Todd

Let me know when the audition is and we will def print some tshirts and send 'em down.

re: Team Jaunted

I can help you with the T-shirts.

Great results

YEAH!! The best team won! Nick and Star ran an incredibly consistent race. They never gave up and kept that positive "winner's attitude"! Energy and youth didn't hurt either. I was very nervous right up to the end that Ken and Tina might win. Thank heavens that didn't happen! I am sure Tina has already eaten Ken for dinner. So much for the ring thing The Jaunted writers have done a great job of extending the wonderful excitement and fun from the show on Sunday evenings into Mondays! Thanks for that!! Can't wait for it all to begin again!!
