Where the women are kicking it in China.
The 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup is underway in China, and the US managed to play Axis of Evil team North Korea to a 2-2 tie in both teams' first game of the tournament. US keeper Hope Solo--who obviously has a Myspace page--had a few good saves to make up for a few mistakes.
With the Olympics opening in China next year, all eyes are on this event to see how well the hosts perform. Games are being played at five stadiums around the country, but Beijing itself won't be hosting any matches.
The US and the rest of Group B are playing at Chengdu Sports Center in Chengdu. Tomorrow, Hangzhou and Wuhan get in on the action. Friday, Argentina will try to avoid another 11-0 loss with a game in Shanghai.
