Wellington Rocks (none / 0)

Wellington Rocks - and not only at the airport.

Courtenay Place in the centre of the city just jumps until the wee smalls every night. My favourite watering holes are Molly Malone's Irish pub (for the music) and Hummingbird (for the people). The latter is hangout-of-choice for a somewhat more mature tippler - ie. anyone over 28.

It's also a favourite late night haunt of the city's movers and shakers, especially from the capital's corridors of power. Play spot the Cabinet Minister over your cheeky little savvy blanc.

Incidentally the climate is nowhere near as bad as popular belief would have it.  Sure, when it blows it's rough, really rough in a southerly, but on by far the majority of my many trips there the weather has been OK.  In fact, on a good day with sun doing its number it's just magic.
