Tweet at Toronto Airport and They'll Deliver Christmas Carols to an Arriving Flight

Believe it or not, airlines do like to show they care during the holiday season, some more than others of course. For example, Southwest will snap family photos right at your gate and Virgin Atlantic will be giftwrapping at several airports. Well, add an entire airport into the holiday cheer as Toronto-Pearson International offers to send carolers to meet the flight of your friends or family.

Yes, carolers will serenade the arriving passengers on a flight, if you tweet them to do so. Here's the details:

· The flight must be domestic and arriving to Toronto-Pearson between now and December 24.
· The flight must arrive between 3pm-8pm, except for the 24th when the hours are 6am-11am.
· Tweet @torontopearson with the person's name, flight number and flight date.
· Sit back and wait for the eventual "OMG you are crazy that was crazy" tweet from the friend or family who gets "FA LA LA LA LA" belted at them.

Joe Fresh might not be that familiar a name to those living in the nifty fifty, but for those above the border the apparel, accessories, and cosmetics company is pretty well known. A flagship store in New York City just debuted, but you can always check them out—for free—thanks to Porter Airlines.

To celebrate the season, the airline and the brand are teaming up the bring a little fun to travelers at the airport and in the skies. At Joe Fresh stores in Canada there’ll be chances to win different travel-related prizes, and of course Porter Airlines will provide your airfare. Robert Pattinson Does the 'Undercover Celeb' Look While Passing Through Toronto Airport

Robert Pattinson tried to keep a low profile at Toronto's Pearson International Airport on Tuesday, but not even a beard and baseball cap can fool Twilight fans.

Rob was arriving in Toronto to film re-shoots for his upcoming movie Cosmopolis, which was filmed in Toronto over the summer. He tried to stay incognito in a San Diego Padres hat, T-shirt and jeans but fans still recognized him and called out his name as he quickly passed through the terminal.

It's not known how long Rob will be in Toronto but considering he only brought along two duffel bags, which he carried himself, we doubt he'll be in town for very long.

The Toronto International Film Festival has started releasing this year's line-up, which will include the premieres of George Clooney's The Ides of March, The Tree Of Life starring Brad Pitt, and the fest's opener, From The Sky Down, a new U2 documentary.

With so many big names on this year's roster, the demand for tickets is bigger than ever and for now most packages are still available and can be ordered online, but you better act fast before they're all sold out and the September events get rolling.

Toronto has been experiencing two heatwaves this week—one generated by a wacky weather pattern and the other courtesy of the world's two biggest heartthrobs, Robert Pattinson and Justin Bieber.

Rob is town filming his new movie, Cosmopolis, and while he's been keeping a low profile, a few determined fans scored a meeting with Rob outside of Toronto's Lakeview Restaurant where he was filming earlier this week.

Bixi Bike Share Arrives in Toronto Just in Time for Summer

We can’t get enough of different cities and their bike sharing programs. London and Boston are just two of the latest towns to get their two-wheeled act together in the last couple of years, and earlier this month Toronto joined the pedal powered party.

Canada’s largest city added around 1,000 bikes thanks to a little bit of assistance from around 80 different stations in and about the downtown area. The Public Bike System Company is behind the city’s new shipment of velocipedes, but for those looking to simply score a cheap ride it’s better known as Bixi. This is the same kind of system that’s already in use in spots like Montreal and Washington, DC, so it might look kind of similar—and that’s a good thing.

Toronto's City Airport Might Just Get a $50 Million Pedestrian Tunnel

Apparently it’s been an on and off discussion for several years, and now it looks like there’s a development in a different kind of battle for Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. This one has nothing to do with other airlines trying to get access to Porter Airlines favorite little airport, but it has everything to do with how passengers get to the airport.

As of now the only way to get to Toronto’s City Airport is thanks to a ferry ride, but some are eager for a more convenient way. There had been talk of a tunnel or bridge in the past, but now it looks like the debate is heating up once again in favor of building a pedestrian tunnel. It’s far from a done deal as of now—mainly because it’s going to cost around 50 million Loonies—but some just can’t wait to stroll to the airport.

Air Canada Begins Flying Their Bombardiers to Toronto City Airport on May 1

We’ve been following the ongoing battle at Billy Bishop Airport, and it now looks like Air Canada will finally be landing at Toronto-City. Just to recap, the airline has been trying to bring back its turboprop service to the smaller—yet super convenient—airport right outside the comings and goings of downtown Toronto after stopping service in 2006.

For quite some time, Porter Airlines has been the exclusive commercial airline with access to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, and thanks to the lack of a true competitor, they’ve done pretty well with their service to Canada and the United States.

Porter Airlines Still Gets to Enjoy Some Alone Time at Billy Bishop Airport

Everything continues to go well for little Porter Airlines, as some of their most recent news confirms they’ve got more butts in the seats than they did a year ago. There hasn’t really been too much talk about new destinations or new flights, but it seems that those routes to New York and Myrtle Beach have been doing pretty well.

The thing that might be helping them out the most is that they’re still not facing any real competition at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Not too long ago, we suggested that Air Canada might be bringing some smaller planes into the airport as well—clearly eager to cash in on Porter’s market—but it looks like that idea is delayed yet again.

The Battle for Toronto City Airport Begins Between Air Canada and Porter

We knew that Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport has been the happening airport in Toronto for quite some time, and especially since Porter Airlines is proving to the world how successful the little airport can be. Air Canada has been trying to gain access to the airport, and now it looks like we have a date for when there will finally be a little competition at the airport.

Most of the paperwork has been filled out and signed, and it looks like Air Canada—through the help from one of their regional airline buddies—will be heading to and from the airport beginning in February. Their initial flight schedule will be limited to just Montreal, but with 15 nonstop options throughout the day, there’s plenty of availability.

While Toronto Film Festival flicks like Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan and Ben Affleck's The Town are getting most of the buzz, we noticed that a couple of this year's fest selections center on characters who are flight attendants.

Of course, we had to look into it and give you the lowdown on 'em. Both of the flight attendant flicks come from foreign countries and will be screened at the festival this week. If they get rave reviews, keep an eye out for them at your local art house cinema.

Katie Holmes Takes Suri and Isabella Out to a Toronto Theme Park

Katie Holmes made the best of the unpredictable Canadian weather over the weekend.

Katie, who has spent most of the summer in Toronto playing Jackie Kennedy in the upcoming mini-series The Kennedy's, took Suri and her big sister Isabella out for some (soggy) family fun on Saturday.

The threesome met up with Katie's co-stars, Greg Kinnear (with his wife Helen and daughters Lily and Audrey) and Barry Pepper (with wife Cindy and daughter Annaliese) before boarding a ferry to Centre Island where they spent the afternoon at the Centreville Amusement Park.
